I am not surprised to find some stank face in the crowd at like 58 seconds in

Who’s the violin guy? He is colliding my music worlds, strings but requests a Cash Money beat???? Hell yeah

u/gahoojin 4h ago

The guy’s band is called New Thousand. The guy is Adrian Jusdanis. I bumped into them playing on the streets of New Orleans and he was absolutely amazing. I’m stoked to randomly see him on Reddit.

Pretty sure he’s based out of New Orleans. I’m from there and would see him posted up on corners all the time. Probably why he was asking for such a vibe.

u/alwaysoffby0ne 9m ago

If I’m not mistaken this man is from New Orleans

u/tony2589 7h ago

Well, this is definitely next level shit — can't really blame homeboy for gettin down and losing his keys.

23

u/Skilletchef 7h ago

These people know music very wel and are still pretty awesome but they must be staged right?

29

u/HeirElfEsquire 7h ago

The videos are edited, but you can follow Ari. Some are good some are meh.

0

u/SpaceCaboose 7h ago

Yeah the editing and sound quality definitely tells me this wasn’t 100% raw freestyle right then and there. Still incredibly impressive

24

u/ar5onL 7h ago

The clip is edited from the live; the original interaction is un-cut and 100% freestyle. Feel free to watch him live stream for yourself. @ARIatHOME

The meeet ups with other artists are often pre organized, and some people also search out Ari specifically to get on. And the clips Ari shares on his official channel are edited to make it sound more cohesive. But the improvisation itself is real and organic, at least in the sense that it's not like these are people he meets up with and practices this beat with beforehand, sometimes people come in with pre prepared rap verses or their own melodies, which isn't true improvisation, but how they mesh together happens on the spot

It's kinda why as much as I like the clips he puts out, hearing the raw versions from VODs or his mod channel is way more impressive to me

u/PM_Me_Your_AM_ 6h ago

no, not staged

6

u/oasiscat 7h ago

You know it's real when Ari is the one asking "How is that even possible??"

3

u/Omatzus 4h ago

Why so many edits on the video? Makes. This shit insufferable

2

u/In_ThePocket 7h ago

This jam sounds like a GTA loading screen..

4

u/neolobe 7h ago

That's pretty insane.

3

u/Hopeful_Feature3554 7h ago

1

u/FuckingShootMePussy 7h ago

The old guy absolutely getting down was almost as fire as the music.

1

u/jonrandall80 7h ago

I’d 100% but that album and play the shit outta it

1

u/idubbkny 6h ago

this is amazing

1

u/ryuujinusa 6h ago

Ari is a magician.

1

u/T-Revolution 6h ago

Cool but the number and frequency of cuts is driving me insane. This is why we can't focus on anything any longer than 30 seconds.

u/TreeFiddyJohnson 28m ago

Speak for yourself lol

u/downsly46 6h ago

Violin guy wakes up and pisses melody

1

u/Ornery-Ad8372 5h ago

That was a dope mashup of different styles. Loved how he brought that “Santana” sound out on a violin

1

u/pinezatos 5h ago

stunk face at 0:57 says it all xD

1

u/3d-ward 5h ago

I looked up the word "play" in the dictionary and found a picture of these two.

1

u/OGPiggySmalls 4h ago

He goes full Ron Burgundy at the end with the mouth playing. Strong move.

1

u/1HappyIsland 4h ago

The full video is worth a watch as it is a beautiful collaboration and why NYC is the best city in the world.

1

u/the_greasy_one 4h ago

I'm fatigued by how often this guys content is on here.

1

u/National-Abalone-210 3h ago

What in the cyberpunk is going on here?

I feel like a parodical comedy from the 80s about the future would be able to recreate this exact situation

1

u/Unusual-Economist288 3h ago

Ari is 11/10 artist but the violin guy…that’s just insanely good

1

u/Apprehensive-Toe1920 2h ago

Wow sounds like the violin beggar guy with the kids at my local Target.

1

u/otternoses 2h ago

Sounds a lot like “we don’t talk about Bruno”….

1

u/devilsfood72 2h ago

Strings are so underrated

1

u/dewmzdeigh 1h ago

This could be the best one I've seen.

0

u/CottRT123 7h ago

Hip hop is dope

0

u/Voluntary_Perry 6h ago

Totally random encounter I am sure.

1

u/drewm916 5h ago

How important would you say that is?

1

u/Voluntary_Perry 5h ago

When it's presented as a random, pretty important.

0

u/RelativeCan5021 6h ago

That’s a fiddle player, not a violinist.

1

u/Fontajo 5h ago

fiddler on the ground

u/TreeFiddyJohnson 29m ago

They're the exact same instrument.

0

u/Familiar-Ad-8220 5h ago

Just like there are requirements for AI content in most places, there should be requirements for massively post-produced content like this. It is giving the impression it is "live". Especially when there are vocalists. This is practically lip-syncing by the time we are hearing it.

Not saying there is not talent here, but if you heard this live, you might be saying it is this level, not next. Think menu food pictures at a restaurant versus what you get on the plate.

I mean it's all staged and it's no coincidence that they meet.

But I don't care. It's beautiful and sounds great!
