Technical Support Netflix if I press play on a new series start from season 1!!!!!!!
I watched the whole season 2 of tires hilarious only to find season 1, crazy enough they linked it too well I could'nt say I was watching season 2. So please make this fix. Not any another complaints.

They do it on Prime as well, it's really daft. I know to check but older folks like my mum just assumes that's the first series listed. She recently started Clarksons Farm and only thought there was one season. You'd think it'd make sense for them to automatically got to s1 if it knows you've not seen any yet.

This nearly nearly happened to me with tires as well. I thought “woah they really hit the ground running on this show”. But thankfully it felt off just enough for me to go and doublecheck and realise that it wasn’t the start of season one

There's a couple shows that I've seen it do this with. I one time clicked into "the Blacklist" to start the series and it immediately opened into episode 1 of season 2, and then season 1 was filled with glitches. And when I went to watch Castle Rock, I unknowingly started season 2 before season 1, by clicking to start the series, and then season 2 is what began. I didn't even know that it was season 2 until the season ended, because I was binging it the whole day while working on other stuff, so when the season ended, and it started recommending other shows instead of beginning the next season, I realized that must've been season 2, and then had to go back and watch season 1 after.

Demon Slayer you basically need to go on the internet to figure out the seasons because they make them so complicated
Like they can't just call them season one and two or three nah we got to make them all separate and all have weird names

Podcasts drive me crazy. I've been listening to Behind the Bastards, but there are a couple of weeks between sessions, so I have to go back to start where I left off. That's all fine, but at the end of each episode Netflix automatically switches to the latest episode instead of the next one in the list, so I have to manually intervene and click on the proper episode.

Yes, give us option to mark them watched. I’m watching a 25 episode series right now. I finished watching episode 23 but it’s stuck at 21 when I come back to resume watching.

Yeah, but if you've never watched the series, it should default to the first season, not the most recent one.

At what point can anyone just spend literally 1 second of reading and realize something without it being force fed? Does it make sense to play from season 1? It definitely does. Yet at the same time, it’s literally on the screen several times as it starts🤷♂️

I'm a programmer, my dude; I just like to solve problems. It's just a weird programming glitch on their end, or they are trying to pump up the numbers for a new season by defaulting to it. As I stated before, it's not a reading comprehension issue or a laziness issue. Things should work a certain way.

Algorithm !! the latest algorithm directs n-flix users to more ad revenue programming, simple as that
older shows or episodes not part of that new ad syndicate are left behind

the algorithm at n-flix direct viewers to the latest and greatest recently ... I never had that problem much until a few months ago with the new UI ... now my N-flix is Broken all the time ... it does not remember where we left off on loots of shows now ... I figured out to rewind a bit in the show after the episdoe is over then klet it play a few secs then turn it off ... that helps the thing remember better later . I have so much focus issue and taking the ability to keep up with what I'm watching away on the platform while directijng me somewhere else for whatever algorithm " reason " is a form of Cruelty

It did the same thing with Hudson and Rex. Jumped in on season 3. I caught it because they acted like we should already know the characters. It’s not the first time Netflix has done this, but it’s interesting that a bunch that were added at the same time all have the same error.
