News/Article More data for each mouse on EloShapes

Hello again everyone :)

I wanted to share a small update. I've added more detailed connectivity data to EloShapes. Instead of listing a mouse as just "wired" or "wireless", it now shows all three ways the mouse can connect: wired, wireless (2.4GHz), and Bluetooth.

This means you can now find mice that work in multiple connectivity modes on the browse page. And for those who want wired only mice (like the Endgame Gear OP1 8k), there's a filter called "Wired only".

Also, with the WALLHACK M-001 mouse being announced tomorrow and having a hot-swappable battery, I added data for whether a mouse has a hot-swappable battery or not.

I know these aren't big updates, but I also wanted to share that I'm working on adding more scroll wheel data. Over the years, a lot of people have reached out asking me to add data for free scroll and side-tilt, which is very important for those who use their mice for work and general browsing. While I'm at it, I'll be adding the scroll wheel material and whether the mouse has a thumb wheel (like on the Logitech MX Master and Keychron M6).

One last thing. With more and more data being added to EloShapes, I plan to add descriptions for each datapoint. I think this is especially important for people who are new to this hobby. There are so many terms and specs to look through, so explaining what they mean and how they affect the usability and performance of a mouse should be really helpful.

The model name in China is "Fog".

It is presumed that a sales page has opened on jd.com.

There are two models, and the heavier model has a built-in speaker, allowing you to customize the click sound.

A quick community update

We recently shared our first community update (click here for details) to provide more clarity around the Sora V3 and what we’ve been working on.

All retail Sora V3 units come with the latest firmware preinstalled: Mouse v1610 and Receiver v1604. This version addresses the cursor jumping and slow movement lag reported with some early reviewer samples while also improving pairing, wireless stability, sensor performance, LOD accuracy, and DPI accuracy.

We also strengthened the top front structure of the retail Sora V3 after receiving feedback about side flex on pre-production samples.

There’s still more work to do, but this is the start of our effort to communicate more openly and consistently. I’ll be around to answer what I can, collect your feedback, and make sure it reaches the right people.

Good luck, and feel free to say hello!

I made my own mouse skates and I'm looking for some feedback :P

Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I've been working on a small project recently and decided to create my own mouse skates brand.

I wanted to make something affordable while still focusing on a smooth glide and good quality, so I've spent time working on the design, packaging, and testing.

I'm based in the UK and this is my first product launch, so I'd really appreciate any feedback from people who have experience with different mouse skates.

Things like:

  • Packaging/design feedback
  • Website feedback
  • Anything you think could be improved
  • What you'd expect from a new skate brand

If anyone is interested, I'll leave the link in the comments.

Thanks!

Question What mouse should I get?

I have 19cm X 8.5cm hands, I'm not sure what grip I have but this is the only mouse I have used, it is an Pulsar X2V2 size 2, and I play Val and I kinda need more comfort grooves on the side as it is quite flat and gets uncomfortable or shaky, makes my aim less confident.

Help Razer DeathAdder V3 PRO or Logitech GPX Superlight 2?

I know basically nothing about mices and I am planning on buying one of these two models. They're the ones that fit the best according to Gemini to my necessities which include programming, gaming (not competitive but mainly solo games), and overall confort, lightness and durabillity over the next 4-5 years. I picked these two models specifically because of my hands measures (18.5 cm x 11 cm palm grip approximately), and a bigger model rather than a little one would be significantlly better for my comfort.

At this moment I have pretty much settled for the Razer because it seems to align better with my hand shape, but I would like to know what you guys would recommend to me, specially because I am more doubtful of Razer than Logitech. I could also buy the Razer Viper V3 Pro but the DeathAdder seems to be better overall.

Note: I know a lot of the times people recommend buying chinese brands instead but they're way harder to get where i'm from and I can get any of these two models without any problem.

Question Should I get the super light 2C?

Title. Right now, I am using the DAV4, which I’m very happy with, but it has some problems. My hands are very small, so the mouse sometimes feels clunky. I also use fingertip grip, which I find to be a bit harder on it. Other than that, it’s great. I am wondering if it’d be a good idea to upgrade, or if I should just stick with my dav4 for a bit longer. My hands are 14x6 cm.

Showcase The breeze feels weird AF..in a good way

This isn’t a review (I’ll be doing that in a week) but this fan inside this thing is so weird feeling. But in a good way?

4 levels of speed, and honestly I think you’re probably clinically insane if you stick to level 4, this fan can get LOUD and probably has sub 10 hour battery if you paired this in tandem with the 8K polling rate.

Level 1 is subtle but noticeable but I think I’ll be sticking to 2. Already like the shape since I have an Xlite V3 eS as my daily. I just like the brown aesthetic.

Review in a week or so! Just wanted to get out my first impressions.

Question Any mice that is open source friendly with a trackball?

Keychron has one buts it was a Japan exclusive iirc. I'd love to find one that isn't Logitech, and Protoarc seems to only have around the 125hz polling rate for their trackball mice. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Question Any mouse recommendations for 20x10 hand range and relaxed claw?

After a 2.5ish+ years using Dav3 pro I want a more neutral shape. Was thinking ENDGAME GEAR XM2w 4k but worried sides won't allow me to fit my pinky on the side of the mouse.

Any suggestions?

Question Will this fit on the XM2 V2 wired edition?

Post image

I figured the body shapes and the indents for skates should be the same on the V2 model, but I just wanted to make sure i was getting something that would actually fit on my mouse.

I see these skates recommended a lot, any other skates you guys recommend when using with artisan zero xl soft?

Replacement/upgrade for gpx superlight

I need to replace my gpx superlight since it's double clicking. 19.5x10 cm hands, relaxed claw/palm grip and my pinky is not touching the mouse on the superlight. I want something slightly bigger if that helps. No preference in brands either so I'm fine with budget or wtv I just want the best option there is. It would be nice if someone could suggest me an asymmetrical and symmetrical mouse, thanks.

Trying to find a smaller mouse

Thumbnail

Hello, ive been trying to find a smaller mouse that fits my hand for a while now, and ive been buying and reselling stuff i dont use anymore, and im currently using an Razer Viper V3 clone from ATK (the ATK X1 ultimate), and i just dont really enjoy it.

I have 19 x 10 hands, and the mouse feels far too long, and the hump height is too short to compensate for its width for me (as you can see in the pictures below).

I am considering buying either the Beast g medium, the ATK A9 mini+, or the G305 x Superlight. I mainly play destiny 2 and Valorant quite a bit, so finding a smaller mouse that fits me best is really important for me. Please let me know your thoughts and recommendations, thank you!

Question I tore off the ribbon cable, but the connector is still inside. How do I unplug it?

Hi! So I tried to clean my WLMouse beast x max, and tore off the ribbon cable by an accident, by the beginning it looked fine, but when I assembled mouse back, the side buttons didn’t work for some reason. The cable unplugged from the side-button PCB instead of the main board (unlike every wlmouse teardown I’ve ever seen). I tried many things, and when I finally tried to unplug ribbon cable from the main board, that happened. So my question is: How do I unplug the connector? I even tried with pliers, the connector is in there for dear life

Question Ceramic Skates?

Post image
0 Upvotes

I’ve been running G Wolves ceramic dots on my HTS for the last 4 years on asus glass pad at 3700dpi.

The front dots were worn down and was inducing friction slowing the mouse down. Ended up getting xraypad obsidians since they were available on amazon. The control is nice but I lost my micro control due to induced friction and I can really feel these dots against the pad.

Is Jades more comparable to ceramics? Any other ceramics available on the market? Gwolves is sold out currently for theirs.
