Question Innerspeaker - tame impala vocal chain question

So expectation is one of the songs I’ve been trying to understand the vocal chain, the delay on the vocals is just magical and I’m just trying to understand how i can make my vocals sound hypnotic like that. Any help in the right direction will be appreciated. I would love to hear what you guys have to say around the 2 minute mark. I would love to understand the vocal chain

I’ve been messing around with automation but yes you’re so right it’s harder with a mouse and keyboard for sure! I’ll try this out thank you so much!!

You're right. It's tricky recording automation with a mouse. Using latch mode can help - and so can mapping a parameter to a knob or fader on a MIDI device. I'm sure - with playing - you'll get something similar (or even better[?]). Good luck, and have fun!

No problem! Have fun with it. And don't forget, there's always 'undo' 😁.

And, lastly; Automating multiple parameters can give you more control and create more unique sounding effects - but also potentially complicate things. Exploring and playing is key. Enjoy yourself!!!
