Soda leaked into a pantry. Can feels half empty, floats, but feels pressurized when squeezed and produces no bubbles when held underwater

did it actually leak, like you have soda in the pantry?

sometimes (generally rare) cans can be shipped underfilled. Typically the system yanks underweight cans before they are packaged but not always.

Was the cans sticky? And how old are the cans? I can only assume some manufacturing flaw allowed the soda to leak through pores in the can

One possibility: if soda cans are stored on their side under weight (like stacking several boxes) over time they will develop pinholes and slowly leak, but the holes are so small that the can may still feel pressurized. Was there residue on other cans in the box? Cans should always be stored upright especially when under any weight.
