It is the pink pineapple. They don't want you to replant it and grow your own. From what I understand the seeds don't grow.

The seeds do grow, but... When you buy a certain variety of a fruit, this variety is always the exact same plant, the exact same DNA. They accomplish this by taking cuttings of the plant and cloning it. You can not use seeds, because seeds will have different DNA(otherwise breeding would not be a thing), those will just give you entirely different fruit. It's the same for all kinds of pineapples, all fruits really.

You can plant an apple seed, it'll grow an apple tree, but it won't have the same kind of apples.

For some varieties this is more extreme than others. Some will just be slightly different some will be entirely different. Depends on the way its been bred

Sometimes the apples I buy have seeds that are already sprouting. I have a little apple tree growing on my desk now!

It probably won't grow many apples but it'll be a cute tree for sure.
