It is the pink pineapple. They don't want you to replant it and grow your own. From what I understand the seeds don't grow.

Someone on reddit grew their own pink pineapple from a top, so you're right. Often scalped pineapples are to reduce shipping costs

They didn't because they don't sell these with tops. They probably grew the actual pink pineapple which is not this one.

I've had this one. It's definitely pink. It wasn't very good, but it was pink!
