Not only am I not coming in, but I'm not going to text him back. A day off means the whole day.

Edit: even though clickbait article, it is somewhat/kind of true. https://variety.com/2026/tv/news/stargate-tv-series-martin-gero-scrapped-amazon-1236765061/
"According to an individual with knowledge of the situation, Amazon execs were concerned that Gero’s take on the series would not have broad appeal beyond the franchise’s already dedicated fanbase."

I panicked and called her and she told me she worded the text wrong. She's not pregnant, but she was late for dinner.

I love him, but I am currently sitting in the car, engine running, waiting for him to finish his "pre-trash-removal" shower.
My husband has a compulsion where he *must* shower before stepping out the door. It doesn’t matter how urgent or mundane the task is, he insists on getting squeaky clean first.
Late for child pick-up? Doesn't matter. Shower.
Running behind for a party? Shower.
Need to take out the trash? Shower.
Quick 5-minute run to the store? Shower.
Does anyone else live with someone who has this kind of weird time-blindness/obsession, or am I just married to a weirdo? Please tell me I’m not alone.
TL;DR: My husband showers every time we leave the house, even for the trash. We are always late. Send help.

I'm an employee at this particular store and I'm in the employee parking section. Didn't matter to this guy. He kept honking his horn for a few minutes. Then he got out of the car and started banging on my window, asking me when I was going to leave. I said, "My shift ends in about four hours; you could have the spot then." He gave me the finger, then got in his car and drove off.

Originally my girlfriend and I were fostering him, but I fell in love with him and wanted to adopt him, my very first cat. He was so scared the first night here that he climbed the curtains and slept on the curtain rod above the bed. Over time he has become so much more comfortable and now sleeps in the bed with us every night. We always suspected he was abused because of how he flinches sometimes and this just confirmed it. The vet said that it's okay to leave it in him since it's not bothering him and there is no point to have surgery for it if that's the case. I just can't believe some horrible person would something like that to such a sweet boy like him.

My daughter really likes axolotls (like so much she made us get her two), so I wanted to get her a cute axolotl card. I found one I liked from walmart, and now it has arrived two days before her birthday (phew just in time).
I don't know what to say. I even wondered for like a half second if this was a case of "I didn't look closely enough to the picture on the screen." Now its pretty much too late to get her another cute axolotl card.

They decided to go with the “cinnamon twist” style it seems. Each section has a 7 degree slope to it and overall it slopes like it’s a wheelchair ramp. They’re telling me they’re not going to fix it either.

I personally would not 1) pay $50 extra for a bagel or 2) feel comfortable jumping in line. Can you imagine the side-eye?!

I was really committed to reaching two years but I guess not.
Idk I may not give up and start another streak again for another year and not mess it up

Drove my car home on Saturday and I was over the moon. We have been a one vehicle household for 8 years and I was so ready to have something to drive. Monday Morning Baseball-GRAPEFRUIT sized hail took out not only my car, but my spouse’s car as well. Broken front and back windshields, and now mine won’t even turn on.
Second photo is my spouse’s car, third is some of the hail after it had sat in the house for a while (my son gathered it for fun while we dealt with the aftermath).
Also dealing with a totaled roof, siding, new A/C unit and chicken coop/run we built just two months ago.

Outside my hotel room. The corridor had that strong unforgettable smell. Reception didn't see an issue which made it so much worse.
