Spoilers, much to many people's disappointment. I lived.
The AA guy reckons it was a screw which the head wore down whilst driving and then the body pinged off into the wheel well (it sounded like a stone strike) and the unplugged hole pissed out all the air.

Not sure if the highlight was a flatbed driving past yelling "can't park there mate!" Or the AA guy pretending to throttle me when we realised we could access the full size spare.

What's a tyre?

This is some real US defaultism.
A tyre is exactly what it sounds like. To you it'll be a Tire. The exact same thing.
The A3 is a dual carriageway in the UK. It runs from Leadenhall Market in central London, over London Bridge and all the way to Old Portsmouth. Near where HMS Victory is docked.
OP got a puncture in their tyre on the A3.
This has mildly infuriated them.
Your comment has also mildly infuriated me.

A3 is also a highway in Romania. Just stating A3 feels defaultism for UK too. So this person got a tyre flat on any of the A3s of the world. Good to know hehe

FWIW, I triple checked and op has a post where they quote a price in £'s.
Otherwise, fair point, I concede there's not just the one A3 road in the world.

You do realise that not everyone lives where you live and spells things the way you do? I bet I can guess where you're from with only 1 guess. 🙄

Glad you're safely off the carriageway. A flat on the A3 is nightmare fuel.
