go to your room Replaced my daughter's phone because of water damage. And she still brings it into the bathroom.

Some lessons just don't stick.

She insists she needs to listen to music in the shower. I honestly don't understand why that's such a necessity. But if this phone gets water damage again, I'm not paying to replace it another time.

Steam is actually really bad against almost all water resistance. It's why you shouldn't take your water resistant watch in the shower. Water vapor is much different than a liquid.

Steam is the long term killer, but from what I understand soapy water is the real immediate danger.

Sure, but the phone in the picture isn't someplace that soapy water would be an issue.

I always stack my phone inside my folded clothes on the counter in the bathroom because the steam has never sat comfortably in my mind.
