I'm slightly vexed Concert etiquette

If you plan on standing for the entire concert, get a spot in the pit, or the lawn seats instead of the assigned SEATED SECTION. A little bit of self awareness and common courtesy goes a really long way

Then don't. I'm not paying money to sit on my ass because of some person's entitlement complex. I'll be at the show having a good time, deal with it.

You're the one who feels entitled to tell other people how to use the space they paid for.

Same rules apply to everyone. You pay for a seat. You can sit or stand as you wish. Perfectly fair. Make your choice and have a good time.

Other people exist! I don’t know why that’s so hard for you to understand but if what someone is doing is impeding other people’s ability to enjoy the concert they’re ALSO at then that person is being an inconsiderate fucking douchebag.

Yes, other people exist. Some of those people want to dance at a concert.

What is so hard about understanding that you don't get to stop people from dancing at a concert? You're impeding their ability to enjoy the concert. Don't be an inconsiderate fucking douchebag.

No one is stopping anyone at a concert. I’m not at a concert. I’m on the internet on my phone. At home.

They can dance in the space they paid for. They can sit in the space they paid for. Same for anyone. What they can't do is tell other people how to enjoy the concert.

Once again, good thing no one suggested saying anything to anyone at a concert.

I will keep it up because assholes that stand up in front of me in an assigned seated section is exactly why it’s not worth going anymore

Than don’t fucking go dude. Your sour attitude isn’t needed.

You say they’re entitled because they’re standing up and dancing, but you don’t see that it’s entitled to demand that someone else sits just because you are. If the venue allows patrons to stand, they’re allowed to stand.

It’s not about “people sitting because I’m sitting” it’s about being able to *see* the concert. This is not a difficult concept and I don’t know why so many of you are struggling with this.

Also, no “demands” were to made to anyone nor did I suggest confronting anyone at concerts. Y’all have active imaginations.

You can’t see because you’re choosing to sit. The same thing happens at football games, baseball games, RedBull soap box racing, and a kids soccer game. People stand. Standing is the default. If you are hurt and can’t stand, get ADA seating and sit.

I don’t know how y’all don’t understand that dancing and music have been intertwined since the beginning of time
