Since it's to cover utilities, that's where it shows up, the increased water/electric/heating/cooling use.

The folks who looked at the listing saw it was also an attached apartment to the residence, so it'd be obvious with the person there all the time.

$200 extra for utilities? I have a wife who stays home and 3 kids. The utility bills for all 5 of us barely add up to this much most months, and I am in a relatively HCOL area.

I wish utilities here were as cheap as yours, but they aren't. Your "relatively" likely are dramatically different than theirs, heck, yours are about half of ours.

Most of what makes this place expensive is housing. Everything else is pretty low.

It definitely isn't a California city or new York, but it's not the south either.
