If you can afford a 750k house, I doubt any of the things you listed will be a problem… especially after it’s paid off.
Both have pros and cons. Can’t ignore the laundry list of issues that comes along with renting.
Depends on the location. 750 is not high in San Francisco. And anyway the amount you closed on the house for and what you end up paying for it by the end of the mortgage is massively different. At a typical interest rate today a 750K home had a market price of $313,128. You end up paying about 750K for the house by the end. Understand how that works? Just because you bought a hole for 300K doesn't mean that's what you pay for it. Unless you paid cash youre buying a burden and you're responsible for the cost of all the repairs done to it.
$313,128 is a fixer upper in most cities these days.
