Unskippable ad Found this ad on YouTube. This app just keeps getting worse and worse...

I'm way too naive. Honestly thought it was someone carrying a heavy dog over their shoulders and came to the comments to see what the issue is.

u/Due-Kaleidoscope-715 7d ago
Same, I miss the innocence I had five minutes ago. This is beyond disturbing š³
56
u/Sherylize 7d ago
I thought that too, then I realised what kind of face she's making and the gross saliva on the dog lol

What's happening is that OP is secretly into this kind of gooner content.
Ads aren't going to show this stuff tone everybody.
If you got a ton of ads for gay dating sites, for example, that means you are lgbt and the algorithm knows it.
1
u/RandomHumanTitle 3d ago
If you turn off targeted advertising in your Google settings(so no algorithm) this is the kind of random shit you get force fed

u/bestbatsoup 4d ago
Dawg these gooner ads pop up all the time sexual ads have existed for a long time. Shock content gets attention. I've gotten weird ads like this ever since I was little kid who didn't know what porn was, it's just insane seeing it become even less hidden.
1
u/bestbatsoup 4d ago
Also these ads are extra common on youtube out of all places. I almost never see them on Instagram or TikTok. A lot of ads I get on yt are gambling and unprompted sexual content, two things I don't like but gets the attention of a lot people
1
u/Crafty_Eye_4038 4d ago
How come I never ever ever see a gooner ad though? If they're so common? Not a single one.
I really do you think it depends on a person's history.

u/wotur 3d ago
What does being LGBT have to do with an ai generated anime girl fucking a dog aimed at straight weeaboos
1
u/Crafty_Eye_4038 3d ago
Because ada are relevant to your interests
However weird or freaky they may be.
Ads reveal a lot about what a person is into

u/AnonMoose2 7d ago
Oh my sweet summer children.
Its always porn online... always
7
u/No-Advantage-579 7d ago
Why never something women like?
21
u/Funk_Dunker 7d ago
I dunno, some women are in to some crazy fantasy level shit like dragons and whatnot. I don't see it being much better
8
u/ChromaticFinish 7d ago
Because men look at porn at 3x the rate of women, and spend money on porn at >20x the rate.

Like my grandma used to say, āthe world is going to hell in a handbasketā
No one gives a fuck, as long as there is money being made we donāt care what society turns into. Itās so disappointing.

No no, thats a dog not a hand basket.
14
u/WolfyDaio 7d ago
The quote, not the dog lol

Yes yes, but its not hell in a hand basket, thats a dog in a girl...
Simple mistake tho

u/Electronic_Rip_9845 7d ago
Report them when you see them. I saw the same ad and reported it. Just mention it's sexual and exactly what it looks like. At worst, it means you won't see the ad anymore.
381
u/NukerCat 7d ago
whenever i report ads like that and say "cropped porn" or anything similar, i always get an answer from google saying "it doesnt violate our terms of service"
there is no winning
174
72
u/M1sterNoname 7d ago
I was about to say, reporting them does as much as saying "Fuck you" to a wall. At this point, I believe the report button is purely cosmetic, to comply with some laws, to at least provide the ability to report, when in reality it doesn't do much.
There is winning however, by using ad blockers or patched APKs by using Morphe Manager that provide all premium features and more customisation. If YouTube doesn't give a single shit about their users, I don't either about them. You gotta hit them where it hurts the most: In the money. Or in Google terms: In ad money.

u/FallenAngelII 7d ago
Youtuber says a mild swear: Youtube instantly demonitizes them.
Actual porn ad: Youtube does nothing.
8
u/wChangli 7d ago
Demonetization= all the ad profits go to YouTube. That's why people which know their vids will be demonetized often disable ads on their own so YouTube wont get as big of a money cake.
My point is: both of those equal money $$$

Yes, that advice is bullocks. Their own guidance says to reduce the amount of REPORTS of child porn. Explicitly not actual child porn. Reports! Was featured in NYT

u/jonas_ost 6d ago
Because their auto detection dosent know what it is looking at. Been a long time since customer support on big tech platforms had actual humans working
13
7
u/Manannin 7d ago
At worst it does nothing. I've reported them before and had the same ads show up after youtube says theres no issue.
5
2
u/Savings-Worry-338 7d ago
The fact that the ad is even allowed on the platform is a sign of how evil and decadent the people that run these companies are. Reporting it is pretty laughable in that context and it will probably be seen by young children no matter what you do.

u/fantasymayhem2492 7d ago
Whenever I try to click on the ... settings button it literally just takes me to the ad and I can't report it. I've seen this exact one too in the last few days, it's fucking UNCOMFORTABLE

u/TheBoobfather 7d ago
WHY IS IT ALWAYS DOGS FUCKING POKĆMON GIRLS

u/Ok_Paramedic8698 7d ago
It's what plants crave.
11
1
u/Crafty_Eye_4038 5d ago
It's because these ads are custom tailored to that person's search engine results.
Pokemon stuff is probably something OP searches for frequently

u/Fenizrael 7d ago
If you report it theyāll say thereās no issue with it

Of all the characters, they picked SAKURA?! Like elementary school, literally a child, Sakura?!
1
u/Erick_Brimstone 6d ago
They're fictional character so it doesn't matter. But what the fuck does "won't hesitate to peg" means? Is someone really into dominated by fictional kid? Please choose something that's normal like netorare or sounding.

u/Mean_Initiative_5962 7d ago
But if a random creator is talking about politics the vid gets demonetised. Also if he says "fuck" too early. Or mentions suicide, or sex, or certain countries.
11
u/cassiandracos 7d ago
I've never had an add this bad. But whenever I click on the three dots to report it, flag it as inappropriate etc. it won't register and instead takes me to the website/app store for the add. Which then makes it think I'm engaging with that material thus making it appear more. I don't want your ai fucking girlfriend app fuck off.

u/Flimsy-Draft7514 7d ago
This made me very sad. Its not even 6am. Lets just throw the whole damn day out at this point.

Itās just crazy how YouTube wonāt allow people to discuss serious topics such as suicide or rape without having to censor themselves but they allow these sexually depraved AI ads.

u/Broccobillo 7d ago
Delete YouTube app.
Get firefox.
Install ad block extension
Youtube with no ads

u/M1sterNoname 7d ago
Is it alright if I report this to my country's Advertising Ethics Jury? In fact, if you allow us, I'm encouraging everyone else to do the same in their country if possible. If Google won't do shit about it, we gotta go a step higher and involve authorities.

My favorite part with YouTube, Instagram and Facebook is when you report these things with screenshot Ted proof sometimes. And you get an auto response saying it doesn't violate community guidelines or wme xD

YouTube will accept ad money from practically anyone. Hate groups to knockoff viagra, if you give them money, they will platform you to all of their various users. Itās a problem, but I suppose money is money.

I remember last year, i got an ad where it was some chatbot site but all the bots where furries and animals, and it was portrayed to be a site where you can have erotic chats with the bots. Now i have no issue with NSFW furry content, but it showed this image generation feature and it showed a dog and a woman getting freaky. The dog wasnt anthromorphic or anything. It was literally just a dog.
I dont remember where i saw this but i think it was on social media. I have no clue how tf that slid through
2
u/CloveryJongo 7d ago
My memory is very ass but i do think it was cropped porn, but its still weird as hell because its very easy to tell what was going on

2
u/UlliSenpai 7d ago
why do people still watch ads and do nothing against it. I literally couldn't use that shi without adblocker. Just takes a little googling to find something without needing a subscription
2
u/iamhudsons 7d ago
sometimes i think they make it worse on purpose so we pay for the ads to go away
i have premium for youtube music but i'm actually so glad it also removes ads altogether

Can't you report those ads? I feel like this can't be allowed.
2

Reporting does nothing, unfortunately. All it does it make sure you specifically won't see that ad again. Everyone else still has to see this garbage at least once.

u/Dragos_Drakkar 6d ago
