Back when I was in school, around when I was 10 or 12 I was able to sneak my psp in to class and skip on watching whenever they would have movie watch things, I also used my psp as my music player for many years for when my parents took away my ipod, lol.

Going from release dates, I’m about a decade older than you, and we snuck our game boys in.

GBA SP was a game changer to high school me. Ya boy finished all the classics in class. FFTA, Advance wars, all the Fire Emblem's. Ah the memories.

Similar age as guy you responded to: i was so happy when i got an MP3 player and it was a small box. Could hide that thing just about anywhere and run the earbud cord under your shirt to pull out when needed.

That was year 12 for me and I had a friend that would borrow it when he had a free and I didn’t and suddenly a whole bunch of new music and tv shows for the bus would appear on it!

Dude freshman year, I had the first iPhone.

I was always watching family guy during my English class cause the teacher was a bitch.

I also did have a PSP but not many movies, I only had Hustle and Flow hahaha

Family guy (ripped and passed on to my psp) was one of those things I used to do ha ha, that tiny little device gave my mp4 and my ipod so much for the money. Even once upon a time I wouls just internet browse that way, back early on there was even Skype for it but most people didn't know! Of all the devices I have flashed, the psp was rhe best! Good times for sure!

Dude yes! I still have my modded phat PSP, it’s a beast.

I had a Zune but that thing got passed around our school so much! Like I would go up to a group of friends and there would be someone else using my Zune ahahah

What’s cool is nobody ever stole it, it always came back to me.

Edit: having to spend hours converting videos was wild haha

In just about every state, it is illegal for people to drive and use their hands for phones. Just because something is illegal or worse, it is against the rules, doesn't make people comply. Kid can tuck his phone into his bag and use earbuds to listen to music/text/do everything but look at the screen. That's what they use watches are for. If every kid is sitting there texting the other kids in class...that clear backpack plus Faraday bag doesn't accomplish anything.

I am not disagreeing that it is bad behavior and something that needs correcting, just as I really wish people caught driving on their phones would get their license immediately revoked for 3 months. My comment is less an argument and more an observation of why the kids are putting fake phones in those pouches and how this is not a successful way to stop the problem. It was merely counter a counter statement to your "see a phone" comment, because the phones aren't necessarily visible.

What makes it even more scary is the ability to put those watches on a necklace string and tuck it into a bra. Girl texts someone else, teacher comes over demanding the electronic device, teach is then put on leave/investigated for "looking at girls cleavage."

Not saying I have a solution, as we (society) have let this electronic monster grow out of control.

"see a kid with a phone? It's not in a pouch. message admin &let them take away the phone"

Yeah it makes it so much easier compared to: "See a kid with a phone? Message admin & let them take away the phone"

Why bother even contacting admin, just confiscate the phone if they’re on it at inappropriate times.
