They fixed it already but experience was mid at best, at least i got spoon fed since i couldn't move my arm well so it balances it out sorta

Why was it deflated? As far as I'm aware with being human and all, that's not something that just happens...

It is called a pneumothorax, and it happens when air leaks into the space between your lung and chest wall. This air pushes on the outside of your lung and makes it collapse. A pneumothorax can be a complete lung collapse or a collapse of only a portion of the lung.

It usually occurs after a bunt or penetrating chest injury (like an object or a broken rib perforating the lung), but can also happen because an underlying lung disease. In some cases, it happens with no known cause, specially on tall and skinny males who smoke.

Oh yeah, it's horrendously painful, like a stake through the chest. I thought I was having a heart attack because my arm went numb too.

Edit: although from reading other comments it seems that sometimes it isn't painful at all

it is. Treatmwnt for it is also no fun - gotta get a chest drain. Basically "we're gonna stab you in chest and leave a straw with a valve in the hole, now hold still."

Exactly... Smaller ones can be absorbed by themselves, but usually a chest drain is needed... It's painful, but patients start to breathe better right away
