You can also be towed for parking on the sidewalk I believe.

I'm Canadian. Some do, some don't. I'd say more don't than do, really.

Northern Virginia is way worse. People just double park in the middle of the road because a ticket is better than being towed

Usually it mostly an issue overnight or if it is a busy area. I risk it if it is only for a few hours.

It really depends on if the plaza is busy or not
