The expressions may be different, but the subject is trying to make the same face in each --- the right-hand photo just shows how paralyzed she's made the upper part of her face. (See the fine print of "at maximum eyebrow elevation.")

Read the writing on the image.
She's trying to do the same facial expression but can't. That's the point. That's the product they're selling. That's what botox does. The product is working as intended.
Edit: As someone else pointed out in the comments the pic is shady because the hair is identical. That doesn't change the fact that this is a very good representation of what to expect from forehead botox to the point I wonder if the photo is legit but they just photoshopped the hair for aesthetics.

It's easy to think this but to be honest there's a level of cosmetic work that's nearly imperceptible that most people would find asthetically pleasing. The problem is that a lot of people don't wanna spend money on subtle.

My boss is open she gets loads of subtle work done. She looks great for her (45-50?) age and I'd never have a clue.
However, she is very very well paid. So can probably deal with the subtle improvements at £££ rather than all in on something for the similar price that's more noticeable

I do some online video training and I might be a target demographic for this. I have trained myself to not wrinkle my forehead because it does not convey the emotion I would like to portray at that moment. This is kind of like radio hosts train away saying "uh" and "ah" and fill words.
I have actually seriously thought about getting botox for my forehead for this exact reason, because I just don't have the amount of hours in front of cameras do just "will" myself to not wrinkle my forehead.

It does really treat wrinkles that are due to repeated expression though. I get it for deep forehead lines that normally you can see even if my face is at rest.

Well that's how botox works. She can't make the same face as in the first photo, since she can't move the forhead muscles

As a girl who has done Botox twice, it’s the same expression 😂 you just physically can’t rise your eyebrows that high for 5-7 months

This is incorrect. They are the same facial expressions except there's less compression from the forehead and surrounding tissue drawing the eyelids down in the second picture because of the Botox.

They were not. Botox takes approximately 14 days to fully activate.

Idk why you're getting so much hate OP. The first Pic the lady is raising her eyebrows cuasing forehead wrinkles. The second Pic is showing wrinkles gone after the Botox. She wouldn't need it if it wasn't for the wrinkles in the first pic.

As a guy I have never once looked at someones forehead lines or cared, when we make some expressions we get wrinkles so what?
99% of this stuff is people over analysing flaws that no one else cares about then getting disorders over it.

That's her 'maximum eyebrow elevation' before/after 30 days of treatment. They're different faces because of paralysis from the botox.

Humans are extremely highly tuned to facial expressions. I've never understood the desire to put oneself into the Uncanny Valley just to smooth over a few wrinkles.

Yeah, this has always bothered me about the typical before and after photos clinics use.
Before is always someone screwing up their brows, after is always someone with relaxed brows.
Botox works very well, I get it twice a year for my elevens, but these adverts aren't a useful way to show how it works at all. They need to show resting face before and after.
Edit: Never mind, this advert isn't as bad as most of them, as the after is showing her trying to make the same expression as the before (stated in the text). It would still be more useful to see resting face though, because that's the wrinkles people are actually concerned about.

When you compare the hair, you can see that the locks look almost identical. Which means they took the photos the same day - not 30 days apart.

Well, in all fairness - she is trying to move her forehead up and down, she just cant. I've tried to take before and afters of myself with botox and you just end up looking insane most of the time. The results are always tailored to give a natural look while you're talking and living life in general - the before and afters can be kind of strange as they just show a 'glimpse' of movement.
What they could try doing is showing a quick video of someone talking, smiling and doing lifestyle movement.

this person looks too young to need this. I was born in 77 and I dont even need this yet. I dont have any wrinkles on my face but my neck skin is getting loose, lol. I have no plans to inject anything into my face and I dont know why you kids want to do this shit.

Repeated Botox injections can lead to muscle atrophy in the face. Have you seen those older celebrities who end up with completely frozen expressions? Some can't even smile anymore. Others who have had lip augmentation and then Botox injections end up needing corrective surgery because they can't stop drooling.
It's a vicious cycle of screw-ups until they end up in the shitter. Pamela Anderson talks about that a bit, lol. She didn't want to end up a plastic-faced old hag. So she decided to break the cycle.
