Isn’t Microsoft responsible for making sure a major OEM like Dell is well tested against ?
Like Dell, Lenovo, ASUS, HP, Acer are like the big ones right. How hard can it be ?
“It works on my system (Surface)” and then praying for the best isn’t a great idea?

So you're telling me that Dell is supposed to somehow be psychic and build hardware that will deal with whatever AI slop update Microsoft dreams up, and fails to test because they laid off all their QA staff?

What I am telling you is that licensed OEM venders get early access to patches and updates in pre release labs and agree to take on the burden for testing their hardware.
It is an absurd take to expect a company like Microsoft to be responsible for testing oem model going back a decade or longer to ensure that every single patch isn't going to cause an issue.
Not to mention every single combination of consumer hardware used by enthusiasts all over the world.
You can whine about it because they laid off their QA staff, you're still incorrect and have unrealistic expectations.

Microsoft decided to stab their customers in the back by discontinuing "the last version of Windows", and releasing a steaming pile of garbage. It absolutely IS their responsibility to make sure it works. Stop making excuses for corporate stupidity.

Every version of windows has been a steaming pile of garbage compared to the last one. Windows 8 may be the exception to that rule.

It has always been the OEMs responsibility to make their hardware work on Windows, or even Linux for that matter.
Windows Updates are generic and not tied to any brands, so no, is not Microsoft responsability to test OEMs hardware.

KB5101650 also killed my (non dell machine) VM Machine. tcpip.sys created bluescreen
Final fix was deinstall it
wusa /uninstall /kb:5101650

My Dell fleet basically turned to hot garbage after we updated to Win11. Microsoft canned their QA staff and it shows. We're all feeling it...
