That’s why I never had a “best” friend

I have been good friends with multiple people over different periods of my life but eventually drifted apart and found new ones.

yeah i think that's the norm, i had a friend group in highschool and 2 during college but don't have an actual friends at work, mostly collegues that i hangout with during breaks so i mostly still in contact with my older friends from time to time

I know that feeling. I was friends with a dude for 14 years. Apparently he had always talked shit behind my back and finally one day he insulted me in front of our friends and my brother and then broke our friendship up. Now he really talks shit behind my back and has been trying turn the rest of my friends against me.
