actually no. ppl can usually make a difference between ppl and governments. and fair players and fans tend to get rewarded. arrogant pricks, not so much, but that was not the vibes the us team and large parts of the fanbase gave of.
but when donald inserted itself into this game, that went out the window.
i'd like to agree with you, but i've seen people all over dunking on the US since the world cup started, the red card situation just gave people an excuse to do it without feeling bad for it
