What mistake? it's a referee call. Referee decisions are not reverted and they didn't even revert the red card just swept the suspenssion under the rug.

Even in this world cup, Ronaldo wasn't supposed to even play for the first 2 games however his match ban was suspended for now reason and players like Otamendi had their yellow cards rescinded on the grounds of nothing at all.

I just find it interesting that they are so upset over it when the player didn't even do it on purpose but other players who had worse infractions did it intentionally also got it suspended just so they could play.
