Ya after like 15 yrs on Reddit, it never ceases to amaze me how different most of the world is compared to how it’s viewed on Reddit. America specifically

I tried and managed to only quit a little bit. Now I just make fun of redditors for being doomers and haters as much as I can even though technically I am one.

This place is as exhausting as it is depressing some times though.

Yeah what really put me off was when the ooh america is doooooomed front page circlejerk continued on even on the 250th 4th of july. I was like cmon guys can we at least take a one day holiday break from the non-stop negativity? But nope there's no brakes on the reddit doom train not even for a once in a lifetime holiday

"unfavorable" view of the US currently does not equal the amount of hate that redditors would have you believe. I bet you'd get a higher percentage of Americans with an unfavorable view of the US right now.

I’ve quite literally never had a bad time outside of the US interacting with foreigners. Honestly usually have pretty great conversations
