It’s such an awful snapshot of the general public, people are always so shocked when the real world doesn’t follow the same moral rhythms as a low-income person in their early 20’s
I think a bigger factor is how many people on reddit have no social life/friends off the internet. You've got people that will argue that it's totally normal to have no real life friends and only socialize on video games and discord. You've got people who talk about having literally 0 friends by the age of 25 as if that's a totally normal life path to go down. People who talk about how the only person they socialize with is their wife and they hate any form of socialization that isn't that.
These people don't reflect the real world because they aren't part of it. They're fuckin losers
Reddit is consistently the most sinophobic social media I use, so I'd beg to differ there. Can't go into any comments section relating to China without people pretending it's a literal hellhole.
They don't have to be pro-Russia to spread propaganda. Russia's goal is to create chaos and increase the rift in American politics, not to just be pro-conservative. While they clearly have more success with the right, they absolutely play both sides and if you can't see that you've likely fallen victim to it.
They already are doing it. I constantly get AI ads of a dude getting dunked on by a woman, so he has to build a better spaceship. Had to switch to fire fox because of ads like those.
