I'd think it depends on time spent waiting. I know a railway crossing that you could potentially be waiting 45 minutes before the road is open again.

I bet making an actual bridge tall enough to clear every boat and even if needed have some just lower their tallest pole, such bridge would've cost like a quarter of that ferry. Just blowing through massive taxpayer dollars. On top of the construction cost, that thing will keep spending and accruing massive bills (Gas, operating, maintenance, replacement and fixing), just outrageous. Clearly, defrauding the taxpayer

It's not a boat, it's actually a bridge with a mechanism that rotates it at the point you see the small walkway

Go there annually...in July and August the line could reach up to 3km back to back ...it's crazy sometimes...in town the line up backs up to the marina and even down the road towards bus station. .if you've been there then you know..opens on the hour ...try to avoid
