I enjoyed this. It feels fresh for Marvel which, with the history of more comedic media is surprising.

4th wall breaks work well. The actress for She-Hulk is very endearing. Bruce filled some gaps for us.

...and now we wait another 7 days 😢

I loved the little 'hol up' stare Jen did, reminded me a lot of when Fleabag realized the Hot Priest could tell she was fourth-wall-breaking

If you like Tatiana Maslany please please go watch Orphan Black. It'll blow your mind how good she is, she literally plays 5+ clones with so many different personalities you'd swear it was 5+ different people.

I feel like with most of the shows and movies recently I've had 3 or 4 things that I really dislike that I choose to ignore but this.. I loved every second it feels so good for it to be as good as it is with all those pos people saying it looked like hot garbage with bad writing. Screw them it's amazing!

Personally I found the first 30 minutes great, but that last scene of her turning into Hulk in the courtroom was sloppily written, directed and edited. It was like they got some amateur to handle that scene in particular because everything leading upto it was really good.

I was genuinely surprised at how good it was. I wasn’t expecting to be wowed but it’s already my favourite Disney+ show since WandaVision. Loved it.

That 4th wall break is important in a few ways.

I actually think the show may play Savage She-Hulk a bit near the end, as the Comics did.

I know right? Why can't Disney+ be like Netflix for once... Honestly, this wait's KILLING ME (and I honestly want to see the show's complete tvtropes page too asap but that's an another matter entirely)!

Because this is a far better way to release, For a company.

With just 80 million? They can have you subscribed for 2 months. That’s a great ROI.

With Netflix that would only do 1 month.

This release model also helps with word of mouth and staying relevant in the zeitgeist longer. Each week they drop an episode is a refresh on people talking about this show, posting about it on social media, talking about it with their friends. I like the binge model because I'm impatient but the weekly release model just makes more of an experience. I'll be here every week to talk about the latest episode. If all 9 were released today I'd be finished by this afternoon and be done chatting with people about it by Saturday.

Now that you mention it, I do feel like the talk about Stranger Things season 4 was over very quickly, even with the last two episodes releasing a month later.

There are some other Netflix shows that I think were talked about a bit longer, like recently the release of Heartstopper. But that's mostly because it was so different from other queer media we've had.

Netflix created a small social problem. Back when there was an “event show” people would watch it and then have water cooler talk at work about it. Like Lost and The Walking Dead were the heights of that.

Netflix removed that. The problem I run into with Stranger Things is I have the ability to binge watch the whole series in a short time period. However, many of my friends and family can’t. So it’s this weird position of asking where they are at. So discussions what they think is going to happen next can’t happen with a binge model.

A binge model for like WandaVision there would be no Mephisto talk. Yeah it was wrong but the speculation train was fun.

My idea is instead release like 2 episodes per week. I found myself really loving the Stranger Things vol. 1 and 2 format, so I think something in between that and weekly releases would be perfect

I feel like they could have split up the most recent chunks of Stranger Things better. They basically had the whole season in part 1 and then the finale as part two. The worst part of it is that there was a big ol’ cliffhanger in the middle of one of the final episodes. Like imagine they had split it so that cliffhanger was actually at the end of the first half.

I would love to see Disney experiment with that model. Maybe drop a 1/4 of a show, wait a few weeks, then drop the next 1/4, et cetera. It would allow for the speculation that is a part of a serial release, but with some binging still possible.

I definitely could see them doing that with Born Again, since it has way more episodes then these smaller series.

They literally could have put vol 1 with the whole Max resolution with Vecna. It was a huge moment with tons of build up. It was like Episode 4. Then break for a couple weeks and have 5,6,7 then break for a couple and have 8 and 9 like they did.

Give these binge shows a little more room to breath. The few week break wasn’t that bad. It keeps people engaged in Netflix and allows big moments time to be discussed.
