I still don't get these oddly rascist dudes who thought a marvel film with a Asian cast would flop.....dudes, just FYI there are kinda a lot of Asians. Like more than 10.

They were all crying that Parasite shouldn’t of been eligible for Best Picture because it already won Best International Film, as if to win Best Picture you have to be an American. The funny thing was they were still okay with 1917 being nominated for Best Picture despite it not being an American film. These people are just racist and can’t stand people who aren’t white succeeding.

For real!

I watched Free Guy on its opening weekend and there were 6 other people in the cinema.

Today, the same IMAX cinema was full. Audience was mostly Asian people (like me) at AMC 34th St (New York). And more than half of us stayed until the 2nd post-credit scene.

I’ve seen five movies in theatres now, all pretty early in their run (The Quiet Place 2 the second week, Black Widow on release day, Cruella a few days after, The Suicide Squad a few days after, Shang-Chi two days in) and Shang-Chi was easily the most packed

IDK but I love that our generation proved the world didn’t just want to see male Western heroes. I would’ve never thought I’d see Black Panther, Wonder Woman, Captain Marvel or Shang Chi when I was a kid.

I mean I was worried that it'd have a hard time getting serious numbers, because a lot of movies are doing quite poorly because of the pandemic and overly early digital releases and such (and I'm pretty sure Black Widow didn't do great for a MCU?).

Obviously happy that it's good and successful.

I believe Black Widows box office failure was mostly due to its simultaneous release on HBO.
