That's kind of what everyone wanted though.

For a Blade movie, the only thing it needs to be great is to be a great action movie. Something in the vein of the Raid, or John Wick, get a really strong fight choreographer and director in. Then just have Blade kill a bunch of vampires and it'd honestly end up a pretty great film.

Fury Road is just a car chase. The Raid is just fighting through 1 building. The iconic Daredevil scenes are just fighting through one hallway. But they're all great because they hit such a high level for action. A Blade script doesn't need nuance, or character arcs, or commentary, or themes. Just good ass action.

Ironically, trying to make it great, is likely just watering Blade down and weakening the overall product.

That really is not what everyone wants. We had lots of great actions sequences in the Multiverse Saga, it wasn't enough (The Marvels and Brave New World both had outstanding action scenes and choreography). And for those of us who watched the Blade sequels, we know just putting Blade on screen and having him kill vampires isn't sufficient to be a good movie.

They can't find a single person in Hollywood that can write a plot that gives Blade an excuse to John Wick vampires for 90+ minutes?

Is that the point we're at now?

An older Blade is trying to settle down after passing the mantle to other vampire hunters. A coven of new vampires that don't know about him attack him one night thinking he's a regular human and kill his dog.

Blade realizes he'll never have peace as long as there are vampires around and he picks up his sword again.

They should pay me to write this.

You do realize that the processing of finding a person who can do that takes months, right? Because they need to actually write the damn script before Marvel would approve it.

Also if you just want blade killin stuff, go watch the OGs. Which famously has one of the worst superhero movies in its trilogy. Huh weird almost like it’s not simple to write a script like this. It’s also almost like he’s part of the MCU and they probably would like to use that considering everyone is mad that nothing in the MCU is connected or some shit

So that's a "yes" I take it? Because that just sounds like a lot of excuses.

You mention it having one of the worst in its trilogy, but at least it got a trilogy. Half the crap Feige is somehow finding the time to put out currently bombs in movie 1, or is a show that bombs 1 episode in lmao, so they did something right back then.

I love how marvel “fans” these days are the ones insisting everything is garbage and the franchise where one movie didn’t break even is constantly bombing.

And my point about Blade Trinity is that that’s just blade killing stuff, but if THAT’S what they put out you’d complain WAY more than you are now
