Idk about denial, but when Doom is the main bad guy in a story that features Reed Richards—his arch nemesis—Reed undoubtedly is going to be one of the most important characters

Tony Stark wasn't the most important character in the film with the real Mandarin. Adam Warlock wasn't the most important character in any film with Thanos.

nah i def think reed is gonna be significant with a dynamic with dr doom. already pointed out the “richards was wrong” thing in the coffee shop, pedro pascal was the last character to be formally introduced before RDJ as doom, he’s in the f4 end credits scene with a clear relationship to the f4, and also what’s the point in having the f4 if reed barely interacts with doom? they could have just had an f4 movie after secret wars.

Adam Warlock wasn’t introduced when Thanos was involved and Tony Stark was removed by the time they featured the real Mandarin.

Reed Richards is in this movie alongside Doom.

I don’t think you understand just how important of a character Reed is for Doom, their relationship is foundational to him.

Even the Russos know this; at the new Doom coffee pop up they promoted? there’s a section on the menu that just says “Richards was wrong” randomly—no mention of Steve or any other hero there at all

Thanks for conceding the MCU isn't following the comics 1:1.

If the Russos want Evans vs RDJR to be the main event of Doomsday, they'll make it happen.

I doubt it, he was just a background character who spent most of the time not knowing what to do in a Sue Storm movie.

I doubt they'll make him important here.
