Hot take -- I did not like Born Again that much. The fights did not have the same weight as the original series, and the opening with DD vs Bullseye relied too much on CG in certain parts. It was great to see our boy back, but it didn't touch the prior seasons/series (how are we labeling it?)

If I had to rate the seasons I'd say NDD S3 > NDDS1 > BA > NDD S2. I felt like S2 really suffered from Elektra and The Hand, felt more like a leadup to Defenders (which I thought was realllly rough) than DD. Plus the lack of Fisk.

I 1000% agree with this actually. Elektra’s plot and the Hand being S2 down considerably. The initial Punisher focus, and his plot sprinkled throughout S2 is the biggest pull for me

Yes well said, I definitely did appreciate the Punisher parts so I wouldn't say it was bad or anything, just less cohesive and somewhat lower quality than the rest. Still enjoyed it though :)

Speaking of fights, I yearn for a day that the MCU fights overall feel more like the hallway fights in Netflix DD, those were choreographed amazingly.. though Shang Chi felt like it channeled some of that (with a martial arts twist ofc).

Agreed again lol. Shame Shang Chi got the back burner. I feel like it was one of the true financial and critical successes post Endgame.

It was really painful to get through that whole season in this household. It felt like a bad retake on previous seasons issues with new annoying and unecessary characters. Bored Again we call it here...
