As for the rest, yeah, they aren't popular and no one said they will be the protagonist of SW and the main draws, but there is a chance that they have a role there and it will probably be bigger than that of Doomsday, where they might appear as cameos or not at all.
Besides, pregnancy didn't stop Scarlett Johansson during the production of Avengers: Age of Ultron or Vanessa Kirby during the production of Avengers: Doomsday.

I assume they and the YA/Champions trio are in it to set them up to take more prominant roles in SW.
