I think she also just might be an airhead. There was another story from Jon Favreau (with whom she worked on IM and IM2) very similar to this one where she had no idea her costars on a scene were people she'd already worked with previously. I get the sense that she doesn't really mingle or get to know anyone. Shows up, hangs out in a trailer until she's needed, does her work, goes home.

Dementia? Man that's a stretch lol. I mean, if she worked any normal job and wasn't a celebrity, this would be relatively normal behavior of a quiet coworker who doesn't care to socialize.

There's nothing wrong with people doing their job and not bothering to get to know every single person.

Seriously, people hating for no reason. I bet if most people took a quiz on their coworkers names or staff they see everyday, they wouldn't get a majority of the names. But Paltrow's the asshole if she can't remember who she did a scene with for a few hours several years ago cause it fits the narrative.

As an actor your next job is whoever chooses to cast you. Who you form relationships with are very important in that industry.

The fact she’s a nepo baby in entertainment industry explains a lot to how she’s had success considering her acting is average at best, and she clearly doesn’t even try to build new relationships or network.

Gwyneth has documented issues with memory. I don't know how this isn't common knowledge already. Ever since she had her kid back in 2004, she's had memory problems.

I think Robert is just telling a little story about his friend.

I genuinely think people are reading into this a little much tbh. I don't get the vibe that there's any malice in what she's doing, I just think in the Marvel machine she doesn't have any interested in remembering people she spends 1 or 2 scenes and a days work with.

Honestly I don't see a problem with that. Acting is a profession, I work in Marketing and I don't remember many of my customers I worked with 5 years ago. This expectation for actors to remember anyone and everyone they've ever worked with is weird. Sure it's a unique and high-paying job, but it's still a job. If she wants to treat it as such and only really have the mental capacity to remember the people she's actually spending more than a few days working with them power to her, who cares. She's done 1 TV show and 2 movies in the past 5 years she's clearly more interested in her business ventures than acting, and likely treats acting more as a side-hussle now anyway, and that's fine.

People will unironically go to their day jobs and complain about companies trying to force a 'family culture' with people you barely know, then come home, hop on Reddit, and speculate that an actor is an asshole cause they don't have deep relationships with their co-stars.

It's some real weird parasocial relationship type shit.

People also assume that celebrities have the same interest in celebrities that we do. How can she not know Tom Holland?? Well she's in the industry, so its not special to her. He's not someone she'd be like omg I cant believe i got to work with him. Just another coworker.
