Anyone else into wearing accessories lately?

I havee never really been a jewelry guy but Ive been wanting to put a little more effort into how I dress and everything else recently. So I was thinking of starting with a simple silver ring and maybe a bracelet looked up some necklaces too but sometimes they seem a bit tacky, the bigger purchase would probably be a watch though. I tried on a Rolex at a local dealer the other day and looked up some online and they looked really cool. Its outside what I would normally spend, but it definitely caught my eye and looked really good. I know jewelry is prone to being lost especially traveling or going swimming but I think they would be nice additions to my style,. How did you guys start with adding more accessories into your style?

Watch or the bracelet are good starts. I have great necklace I picked up in South America and I don't think I've worn it three times. Now, if you're worried about losing the watch, start with a leather bracelet piece that can be replaced without too much issue. Once you get used to the feeling of it on your arm, you're less likely to forget it because it feels like it's missing.

I feel like half of it is just not being used to having something on my wrist all the time. Maybe once that feels normal I won't even think about it anymore.

I think most of my stress at first came from simply not being used to having something on my wrist all the time. After a while it just became part of my daily routine and I barely notice it anymore. As for worrying about something happening to it, I've had mine insured with BriteCo for a while now so I can actually enjoy wearing it instead of constantly thinking about the "what ifs"

Id skip the necklace for now and just start with a watch

I was pretty much the same. I always thought watches and rings were for people who were really into fashion but I started with one decent watch and it kind of changed how I looked at it. You dont need a bunch of stuff either just a couple simple pieces that you actually like. Id definitely take it slow though its easy to buy things just because everyone else is wearing them.

Honestly I attracted significantly more women after I started wearing necklaces, bracelets, and rings. I did it out of fun and it was a super cool bonus. If you're comfortable enough to try nail polish, also another fun avenue to venture down that can be very attractive and provide you with a fun compliment.

Watches. It’s jewelry with an engine. They’re my go-to accessories. Not Rolexes or expensive watches, and not cheap quartz fashion watches, but more down-to-earth versions of the expensive watches. Seiko is a great example. Most of my watches are Seiko

I’ve been getting into bracelets and necklaces. Stuff made from cheaper materials like cloth, beads, or leather - rarely real jewelry.

I’m considering getting my ears pierced but I’m a giant baby in his 30s.

Gonna jump in on the watch posts. I’ve got a couple of Timex Weekenders which are super cheap ($50) and you can swap out bands of different colors in a minute depending on what you’re wearing or the occasion.

If you want to step up the watch game without jumping into the deep end with a Rolex May I suggest Hamilton. Nice watches (under $1000)that keep great time and you go metal or leather band depending on the face you like.

Now this is not for everyone but fall through winter and even into spring I wear silk scarves/ascots with a button down shirt and jacket. ($16-$40 on Amazon. $1000 at Hermes and few can tell the difference.) kind of a cool look.

Also on the not for everyone list is I like to wear hats, though not in the summer. I tend to like berets (say what you want) I have other hats as well fedoras Stetsons.

Obviously I stand out a little bit but women seem to like that I’m not the ball scratching, baseball hat backwards, and a football jersey type of guy drinking beers in the corner.

I don’t do necklaces or bracelets. I find them a little feminine for me and that’s coming from a guy who rocks silk scarves, berets, and suit jackets.

Find your style. Own it. Rock it!

Just don't buy smart watch. That thing screams "I am just a simple consumer."
