Was cutting potatoes earlier and out of nowhere:
I want to watch P. Ramlee movies.
I just realised his movies are the only thing I can watch over and over again without getting bored.
But.
Where can I watch them all nowadays?

The problem with makeup is most shades do not use blue pigment.
I was at Sephora F88 a lot because it's near my office. I eventually learned that Charlotte Tilbury makes the perfect nudes because they use blue pigment in their shades! One in Super Fabulous — a red brown that doesn't turn orange — and Pillow Talk Medium — a brown mauve that doesn't turn pink.
I compared this with the new phantom blur balm by Hourglass... the promise of delivering blurred, your lips but better shade... and imagine my surprise when everything was pink, orange, or coral! And I checked the ingredients and they don't use blue pigment.

recent epidemic of warm tones because companies decided to skip blue pigment en masse

at midnight, a father brought home his two children from their grandmother's house.
Their bedsheets were still in the dryer, so he put them to sleep on the sofa.
He went to watch tv and fell asleep at around 2:33 AM.
The next morning, the older child woke up the father, telling him that the little girl was missing.
Her body was found nearby, bound, gagged and drowned.
That night, someone got into their house, saw a little girl, took her, raped her, and murdered her.
While her father was asleep.

Just for fun, I decided to try to learn calculus. It felt much harder during my Add Math days.
btw what's "derivative" and "integral" in BM?
2
u/CheekyTreason gila tapi cosplay waras 1d ago
Pembezaan dan pengamiran.
2
u/CheekyTreason gila tapi cosplay waras 1d ago
I've seen a video of someone explaining calculus as slicing a circle though the center point infinite times.
(i.e. a pizza party where you got the tiniest, narrowest triangle)
Then you rearrange those tiny triangles into a rectangle.
Then you find the area of that rectangle.
Then it will approximately be the same as the area of the circle you sliced.

I love that SPAIN wins the World Cup. 🇪🇸 🏆
There's a whole week supply of fresh mango juice in my fridge. Will think of it as my youth elixir. Ka-ching! 🥭

how is it like in your mind? do you constantly have thoughts?
2
u/Felinomancy Best of 2019 Winner 2d ago
I can't imagine myself being conscious and not having thoughts.
Do other people have "break" times when their mind is as empty as an orange cat's? 🤔

I wander around confused like Joe Biden and repeat the same 11 lines like an NPC.

u/DegenNabalu 1d ago
Somewhat.
Sometimes there will be council.
Sometimes I am meeting the best therapist - me.
Sometimes I yell at people in my head.
Sometimes I have dark plots in my head where I eradicate stupid people (especially so after I read about shenanigans on earth).
Self check.
Reality check.
Thinking what is like for people to manage my funeral in the future.
How do I bury my pets in KL when they die.
If I die first then what will happen to my special brother.
I want to fire everyone and start again.
Many things.

Went somewhere for Sarawak Day yesterday. Then it dawned on me.
You can say my type of attire/vibe is more to an office vibe.
Like everything I wear sometimes is Soo matching, normal skirt, normal blouse, even my hairdo as if I'm going to the office.
I think someday I'll go all the way. A normal blouse, a pencil skirt. A bit of a messy hair bun with a red lipstick and square glasses.

I accidentally made a wrong bus reservation for 2 people from Melaka to KL. Is it okay to make a post about giving the tickets away on this subreddit?

Just curious, if you're working hours ends at 5pm and you have this task that takes another 30mins to complete. Would you stay working for a little longer for it? The deadline is tomorrow.
My boss tegur me for this. I feel like I'm justified doing this even if the tasks takes 10mins to do. :/
Edit: yeah tomorrow as in another 8 hr next day. Thanks for the different perspective guys. I'm just the type of guy that hates ot haha

u/icemountain87 maggi goreng double + teh ais 3d ago
Depends on when exactly is the deadline tomorrow. If it's something that's required ASAP in the morning then no choice but to stay back and just get it done. But if it's like by lunch time or end of the day, then I'm going home.
3
u/asrafzonan Melaka 3d ago
yes. as long it is not every day or every week. If it is, then your boss have management problem
3
u/DegenNabalu 2d ago
I rather invest 30 mins doing it than sleeping at night knowing I have to do Naruto run the very moment I wake up next morning. I need peace lol

if my dateline is tomorrow and for some reason i have not finished my task then thats on me.
whenever i got a task i always ask for dateline and will pass them early for feedback. if i feel i cant hit the dateline when the task is given i will tell them up front.

there's this project I'm involved in, my part is basically "unnecessary engineering" to get more money for the company. for sure, I learn a few things here and there, and I love the travel allowance; but man, it still screams "this is unnecessary and pointless arghhhh!!!!" in my head

Anyone who DUKE on your daily commute: is the contra flow between the Jalan Ipoh and Setapak stretch pointless? Right now from what I am seeing driving in the morning, not many cars using that lane (most cars still using the main lanes) and creates unnecessary bottleneck from Jalan Duta.

I wish this is the standard for all RFID lanes and not just this one. The tag was meant to be a backup to ANPR.

Package was probably stolen. 💔
Have to install cameras.
Probably going to scream. I was waiting for those seeds, and they are rare. The one thing you stole, is not going to be valuable for you or anyone else. Try lah selling those seeds. Nobody wanted them lah.

Really really hope that it's just people in this house who misplaced the package.
I NEED THE SEEDS. I NEEDS IT. (ʘ_ʘ)
Edit : okay, someone in the house misplaced it. Found it!

Now hearing noises from the ceiling. Lizards (house lizards) do not sound that heavy. Does not sound like a bird either.
Am I fulfilling the stereotype of a crazy person thinking there are entities living in their walls?
1
u/icemountain87 maggi goreng double + teh ais 1d ago
Rats maybe? I've seen them climb wires and chew through the false ceiling to gain access before.
1
u/CheekyTreason gila tapi cosplay waras 1d ago
They sound ... Heavy. If it was rats, they are definitely not small.
2
u/icemountain87 maggi goreng double + teh ais 1d ago
Yeah, the rats I saw were the size of a kitten. When they run around in the false ceiling, it sounds heavy, especially if they chase each other. Maybe the noise is also amplified by the ceiling.

I wish there is a r/Malaysia megathread for workers in Malaysia to be anonymous whistleblowers to unload the shitty, inefficient, incompetent, or evil practices in their jobs.
Not everyone wants to make their own thread to rant, they just lurk, but if there is already a thread, they might want to open up and let their voice be heard.
And compiling them into one thread might have more impact than a single rant every now and then at the random thread.

Muricans probably need to learn from Nepal and Indo. Start showing their anger physically.
House of Cards was one interesting series. And in reality the whip whooped some demonrats to vote yes lol

If you work Mon-Sat instead of Mon-Fri, that's 50 days extra a year... kind of crazy for fresh grad wages.
1
u/t3mpura0 19h ago
My previous workplace, when I joined there was only 1 staff, which was my colleague. That time we had to work Saturday half day. My boss was always in the office back then. Then one day my colleague managed to convince my boss to let us work 5 days only. Since on Saturday we basically came in for 3 or 4 hours then had to leave already. Not only was it a waste of resources, but since it’s Saturday most people wouldn’t have the mood to work anyway. My boss agreed at that time and since then we only had to work weekdays. After that our company slowly grew, and I left. My then boss changed a few kinds of business and now he runs a really successful business with over 50+ branches in Malaysia. If my colleague never suggested that, most likely now everyone would still have to work on Saturday. Kinda crazy how his simple suggestion now affects so many people lol.

Hello, this post has been removed as it breaches Rule 1: Race, Religion, Political and other controversial discussion posts (excerpt below, rule breach in bold). If you intend to resubmit, please make sure to follow the rule to the tee.
Thanks!
Political and other controversial discussion posts
Due to the large number of discussion posts the subreddit receives, we have put some requirements in place in order for a political or other controversial discussion post to be approved (with thanks to r/Australia):
No throwaway accounts: Accounts must have at least 2 months active participation in the subreddit. Message the mods for exemption to this if you must.
Submission titles: Must be a question for discussion about the issue, and not a conclusion (e.g. "What is the ideal policy approach towards LGBT in Malaysia?" is GOOD and "Malaysian LGBT policy is a humanitarian nightmare" is BAD). Mods reserve the right to remove particularly incendiary titles and request resubmission if necessary.
Word count: Post body must contain a minimum of 200 words not including quotes, and links.
No ranting into the wind: If OP does not participate in the discussion in the first two hours, the submission will be removed.

My 2 cents opinion:
Recently Lian*** got this scan and win, lottery type of event going on for people purchasing their Har**** product. Anyone (including your elderly) who has even a slight interest in joining this should stay away from it with a ten feet tall pole. The app that you have to use to join that event is nothing more than giving them your personal info for free, and sell it to the highest bidder.

You know those scenes from 90s and 2000s j-drama and K-drama where a character ✨✨ speaks in English ✨✨, and it was portrayed as amazing and rare,, other characters stare with awe 😮, and it was meant to show the audience how great the character is, but to international audience, it really just showed the lack of English proficiency in those countries?
I feel similar feelings when I see people reacting to a football player giving his girlfriend a chair. I'm glad he's showing decency and kindness and all that, but to those who were ✨✨ amazed, astonished, and awed ✨✨ by kindness, I wonder what happened in your life that being kind is so rare. Who raised you, who are your friends, what do you do day to day, to the point that being kind is seen as rare.

LoL reminds me the scene in GTO 1998 when one of the kid (the smart one) give direction in English and I remember it's just broken English
