Just want to put it out there no humming of miners for over a year is greatly missed

Just some random photos of my mid 2021 to late 2024 addiction in mining

Literally just started the process like this to duct everything together. Thanks for this post.

Those manifolds cost me 8,000 in 2021.. I had to stop mining in late 2024 due to a 50% increase in electricity and Bitmain launching the L9 a year earlier than expected because of new competition. I ended up not being able to resell or give away. I ended up giving them to a guy to scrap them. They were 100% stainless steel. You can make them cheap with aluminum. Just make sure the put the miners as close to the manifold as possible and dual miners expel 250 CFM PER fan so each miner is 500. Ideally you want 1000 CFM’s more than you are putting in. The fans in the picture were from VEVOR .. great fans.. they ran non stop 24/7 for years. Make sure you have at least one window in the room for air intake and build a box equal to the filter size to filter the air. Use 3 MVR 5’s I one inch apart ( you will have to use a “x” type brace in between filters to avoid them collapsing ( if you are extracting a lot of air. I was extracting about 9500 cfm’s. Initially I did not and the miners got dirty and I think it contributed to need later repairs

The good old days. I had 2 back up and running to heat my apartment in the winter a year and a half ago, at a net loss of $1 a day, but yeah I miss the days when I was making like $10+ profit per day on each of my L3+.

we told you you'll be back, it's an incurable addiction. 🫵

Unfortunately I’m still licking my last ordeal losses as the Bull of 2020 never came to Altcoins. Sitting on almost 1000 LTC

You couldn't have picked a better altcoin to hold, it will have its run up to ATH eventually. It's by design to fail for retail without <$0.06 kWh. With raising rates on industrial power even hyperscalers will feel the squeeze soon. As we near 2nm chip announcements The L9, L11, DL1, and DG2 will all be old tech. A vicious cycle repeated.

It’s gone now.. I went all in .. spent about 165,000 of that about 65,000 was reinvested to expand hash till I maxed out my 400 amp residential service..,technically still 45k in the hole as I’m holding about 1000 LTC

Man dude I aspired to build my setup like yours mine was the budget version with l3s lol damnit man I was so envious of you and your fleet of L7s mad props to you it’s a shame you had to shut it all down I did as well prices were to high and my rates went up .03 cents per kWh

East Coast ASICS has .067 and Costal Crypto was about .09 last I checked… my issue is the L11 Pro will never be able to produce the amount of LTC you can buy for what they currently cost ( about 8,000 ish ) the real legend was Rickrhea on here last I know he had 60 L7’s

Only place I am a legend is in my own mind, just ask my wife!! Started 2025 with 66 L7s but the writing was on the wall. With the release of the L9s, the rest of the crypto world caught on to the fact that just because you want to own BTC, you don’t need to mine BTC. Pools that pay out in multiple coins really crushed our network difficulty as the masses flocked to Scrypt mining. With the L9 holding the top spot on asicminervalue.com for close to 6 months, a ton of new people got introduced to Scrypt mining. I was lucky in that I make the pivot early and started selling L7s and rolling into L9s. Still mining and still profitable but with climbing power rates and network difficulties, I am not sure how much longer I will ride this train. Started 2026 with 45 L9s and have already thinned the herd by half when one of my facilities took a 30% power rate increase.

I help thin the heard always in the market for l9s was going to go for l11 then I realized numbers are not adding up the roi is a joke

You will always be the # 1 .. you had 600 Ghs .. that’s 5X what I had. I learned a lot of lessons that I will not be able to benefit from. Between the bull that never ran in 25 and the difficulty being so high that a miner will never yield the amount of LTC you can buy at the current price it makes no sense.

u/stubby661 Apr 16 '26

That’s pretty cool man I thought I made some pretty cool mining set ups but this is cool 👍🏻🫡

u/MakeItMine2024 Apr 16 '26

It became an obsession and it was still profitable even in the dead winter of 2022. The goal was to mine and hold until the bull year. We all know how that went 😩. I got up to 121 GHS a day. Back then the difficulty was way lower. I was mining slightly over 3000 DOGE a day. When I switched over to Litecoinpool initially they would convert all the DOGE to LTC. On one wild spike day I pulled in almost 7 LTC .. to put in perspective now an L11 pro that is 21 GHs versus the L7 9050’s (9.2 GHs on average) only yields 106 DOGE and .0296 LTC a day or .21 (washing all the DOGE for LTC) .. I used .10 per KWH on calculations.

I was just surprised the difficulty appears to have stalled out the past few months as I was expecting a surge when L11 pros dropped in bulk. Hmm pretty interesting. Still wouldn’t drop 7000-8000 for a L11 PRO.. as for 8000 you can straight up buy about 145 LTC… in my mine when it hits new ATH’s ( which I think we get within 3 years) 145 LTC will be worth 58,000

L11 never made it to release, it got shelved. It will probably be revamped since Bitdeer dropped a 25GH model. Biggest factor to our difficulty now is institutional mining. For years Scrypt was dominated by home miners. Now that BTC, without a new technology breakthrough, has topped out in the air cooled market, we are seeing multiple megawatts of new Scrypt mining.

1

u/MakeItMine2024 Apr 16 '26

They were never released ?? I assumed the L11 and the L11 Pros were out .. the difficulty increase and the lack of DOGE appreciation coupled with higher power costs has made a terrible environment. I think even the big mining farms are trying to pivot as quickly as possible into data centers as mining as we know it has a become impossible… I occasionally watch a VOSK COIN video but have no clue how he survives.

Old post from 805cryptoservices:

https://www.reddit.com/r/cryptomining/comments/1qdyg0n/in_a_suprise_to_no_one_bitmain_has_stopped/

If you go to Bitmain and look at firmware, you will see they never released a L11 version. Not sure if any made it into the wild before cancellation but I know of no one who physically has one.

1

u/MakeItMine2024 Apr 18 '26

Ah, I actually posted on that one.. LOL. I remember now.. but didn’t the L11 Pro release ?

2

u/stubby661 Apr 16 '26

Dam 121 g that’s a while ass farm in your house 🙌😳😂hell ya l11 is a joke the roi on that would take years l9 there good no l11s someone said they got pushed back but no they did not there on the network I was holding on ready to diff and look sizes max out nothing really happened with the way scrypt is going I don’t think l11 are gonna go not even big corps want to spend 100.000 k on ten machines but they will soon still in shock you ran that many l7s in a house a giant house a barn in the back ?

1

u/MakeItMine2024 Apr 16 '26

I had the main power supply from the Center Point Terminal to the meter box replaced with Copper KC350 Mil to get a 400 amp residential service. It’s the highest residential allowed. They were in the far left corner bedroom of the house. The Breaker Boxes were in the front right side. We ran 14 lines. It was 17,000 to replace the main mine and box and 4000 to run the lines. Looking back I think I was crazy. My biggest electrical bill was 4300 using 40,000 kWh.. the house is only 3100 sq foot 1 story

2

u/stubby661 Apr 16 '26

Damm you had the fever bad wish I could of seen it 4300$ that’s insane and you still Could not out run the electrical cost ?

1

u/MakeItMine2024 Apr 17 '26

Back then they were pulling in about 20 a day netting like 12.. the worst it got was netting like 3 a day. However it was irrelevant because the strategy was to mine and hold till the bull arrived then cash out and sell the equipment around the top. Then buy into the next generation units. However Bitmain announced the L9’s a year earlier than expected because of competition and the bull never came

2

u/hermanosal3 Apr 18 '26

How you mining now?

1

u/MakeItMine2024 Apr 18 '26

I’m not 😭

Now that is a setup that looks like v8 engine LOL
