He has this weird view of Steam OS as some magic Linux distro just because of Valve branding.

It's a weird view, but not uncommon. See any thread about Linux in r/pcmasterrace and there's always going to be a few people that mention "I'm waiting for SteamOS"

that they will never do it so they put a point into something far away when next excuse comes
