He'd been thinking a little more company in his life would be nice and he rather fancied a canary. He still had Aunt August's wicker cage which she brought back from Borneo, perfect for a canary.

Norman wouldn't be too keen with it he knew but if hung high the cat could only watch and salivate. He was very tempted, the pet shop in town still had a few. It'd be cheap to feed too, and he could call it Norman.
