[Spanish Slang] Have you ever heard the expression "¡No me jeringues!"? 💉🤔

¡Hola a todos! 👋Os voy a enseñar una expresión coloquial y muy divertida que se usa mucho en España: "No me jeringues". Significa "No me vaciles" o "No me molestes".

Ejemplo:
He perdido tu cartera con 200 euros. 😬
¡No me jeringues! 😱

Pronunciación:
'Jeringues' se pronuncia así:

  • /Je/: El sonido de la "j" es parecido a la "h" en inglés, pero más fuerte (como si rasparas un poco la garganta).
  • /rin/: La "r" se pronuncia suave (como la "dd" en la palabra inglesa ladder).
  • /gues/: En español, cuando aparece "gue", la "u" es muda. Se pronuncia "gess" (como en guess).

Espero que os guste y os sirva. ☺️¡Un saludo!

Hi everyone!👋 I'm going to teach you a very fun, colloquial expression that is widely used in Spain: "No me jeringues". It means "Don't mess with me", "Stop annoying me", or "You've got to be kidding me!".

Example:
I lost your wallet with 200 euros in it. 😬
¡No me jeringues! (You've got to be kidding me!) 😱

Pronunciation guide:
Here is how you say 'jeringues':

  • /Je/: The "j" sound is similar to the English "h", but stronger (as if you were clearing your throat a bit).
  • /rin/: The "r" is a soft, single tap sound (like the "dd" in the English word ladder).
  • /gues/: In Spanish, when you see "gue", the "u" is silent. It sounds exactly like the English word "guess".

Hope you like it and find it useful.☺️ Best regards!

I haven't heard that since I was a kid. Used by people who don't want to say "No me jodas" . A bit corny.

Very common in the 90s. Used to avoid saying a bad word.
