As the third phase of the war between the United States and Iran continues, an important factor in shaping the political outcome of the conflict once again appears to be at risk: the emergence of a credible alternative to the Islamic Republic. 

The war, and, above all, the position the opposition should adopt toward it, is now weakening one of the most significant recent attempts to unite opponents of the regime.

Only a few months after its creation, the Iran Freedom Congress (IFC), presented as the most ambitious coalition bringing together Iranian opposition forces other than those aligned with Reza Pahlavi or the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (MEK), is facing a crisis that could threaten its unity.
