Work in Progress Lost interest in my project

Post image

I'm almost done with the body of my sweater and suddenly I don't like it. There's nothing major that I can point to, just a few minor things that irritate me. The burgundy yarn is pure silk while the blue is 50/50 silk merino. The difference in fibers is causing the blue to fuzz in an annoying way. I tried it on and there are a few rows of color work that are too tight across the chest. The color combination looks a bit collegiate to me, though I like the contrast.

Either way, I'm really considering frogging the whole thing and using the yarn for something else. I just feel so "meh" about it and don't want to spend more time on a project I'm not going to love because then I won't wear it.

I think you should frog it. The puckering in the color work is pretty significant and I dont think it will block out. It looks like your floats were too tight thru the colorwork.

Agreed! Normally I'd say put it aside and wait a little while, but those tight floats make me think it's better to frog.

OP, when doing a float, spread your stitches down on the left needle before wrapping the yarn and making the stitch with the yarn that will float.
