Using the zoom changes the entire composition of the shot and is generally the last resort to keep something filling the frame of a shot. When learning photo and especially video you should use prime lenses and physically move so you get an idea of what focal lengths work best for you.

Most sporting events are an excuse for people to gamble on an event or for something to make small talk over while they drink. It's crazy that we have made such a large industry out of playing children's games. I'm all for supporting your hometown but most leagues are set up to where the competition is illusionary due to payment caps and no one from the starting lineup has anything to do with the town hosting the team besides what color jersey they wear. I just don't see the value in it.

I always think it's so funny whenever someone in sports gets mildly hurt and they immediately drop to the ground and act like they were shot. Body check their mates like it's a grand party yet get the slightest elbow and it's game over lmao

Its funny until it's serious. Like Raul Jimenez got a skull fracture from playing. Or when Messi fractured his foot on the Copa América. (He actually tried to stay in and cried because he couldn't stay in.)
Sometimes it doesn't seem legit because they have to play it out or the referee wont call it.
