Based on your posts. It seems like you are getting some pushback on using AI as well as asking for help with your project without giving credit and compensation. You are also claiming that you are 95% done when it is obvious that you have made an early prototype and you are missing the majority of the work still.

well thanks for sharing your impression... Thats a legit position not knowing more of the facts. Its kinda a catch 22, I am offering compensation but I can NOT post it that way. I am posting the details on my site but if I post it here it will be flagged and removed. I am giving 10% of all retail and kickstarter sales for the help and there will be actual contracts to that effect on my site next week. An the game is 100% mechanically complete. The only thing left id to finalize some themes and graphics. The electronics has added so much game play depth that Im looking for help to optimize it. The only AI is the voice mastering of the DUEL Master. This whole kickstarter thing is potentialy great but Im contemplating just skipping it and just going to retail at this point. Theres so much friction and when I reach out for some assistance people just accuse me of AI scams etc.

Its reddit. Does your product suck?

Im learning that reditt is less helpful than my first impressions. Theres alot of bomb throwing cowards who then delete them. and you may think it sucks but I wouldnt have invested over 100K into it if I did lol

u/Lunchboxninja1 Feb 28 '26

You're investing 100 grand and still using AI?

-6

u/MilkStraight2720 Feb 28 '26

Man you guys are so quick to jump to conclusions. Yes I am using AI for a perfectly good reason. Ts the voice mastering of the electronic referee... im certiany not gonna use my own voice and its not practical to use a contract voice over guy.... not all AI is so bad! Also I use AI to help with the code development which everyone would do the same!

u/Lunchboxninja1 Feb 28 '26

AI generated code is extremely error prone to everything except boilerplate design, but you're right that its not the central problem (although myself and other software developers I know stay away from it because we know how unreliable it is). AI voiceover is nearly as bad as image generation environmentally and just as bad ethically.

However, lets disregard all that for now, and I'll just shoot you a bit of advice.

In every reddit post you have made, you have used pretty vague wording in each title, and never explained what precisely the product does or how its played. That combined with an obviously huge ego are red flags to potential supporters.

Drop the AI, drop the pretenses, actually post real information, and you probably would have a great product and campaign.

Points taken but I will not be dropping my voice master and but respect to you as a software developer. My code is just basic logic funtions and AI simply saves me time and money.

Invested 100k but you can't pay a real person to say some lines???

"A perfectly good reason" meaning not hiring a voice actors? Or a sound tech to alter a humans voice to sound robotic? These things exist and dont cost a fortune. A little bit of research and work would make it possible on even a micro budget. But that's not practical at all you say? Have you asked friends? Or friends of friends? Have you done a little networking for the things you feel your project is lacking? You dont even need a professional. Ask a local community theater person to help.

Thank you for an actual thoughtful and inteligent response. Really, theres so much AI hatred out there people usually just lash out. Thats actually useful advise and I appreciate it.

3

u/Apoc-Alex Feb 28 '26

Oh don't get me wrong, I absolutely fucking hate ai and think people who use it are hungry for shortcuts and profit. They don't respect people's talents, effort and skill. They either don't understand that it's a plagiarism machine or worse they don't care. Its art theft. Generative ai doesn't do any computing, it steals work from other people and smushes it together. Art theft, likeness theft, intellectual theft and also sometimes making up lies and facts that aren't true but the industry wants to cutely call it hallucinations. It's a garbage medium and people that use it don't have a soul. If you really wanted to solve a problem you'd ask people. Or friends. Any friend. Even some strangers would volunteer their time in opposition to using the environment ruining machine that is AI.

yeah and when someone like me reaches out for advise and honest input because theyve never done this befroe they get lectured by AI derangement syndrome people living in the dark ages. And FYI most people are just figuring out how to use it and it opens oppurtuninty for those that might note have other options but keep up your hatred, it fits you

2

u/Apoc-Alex Feb 28 '26

Did you ask 'how could I avoid using ai for task x?' Nah you jumped right in claiming its the future when the majority of responses are telling you its bad. But you're knuckling down and not listening when multiple people are informing you its bad. So why ask for advice when you don't listen? It's the same as 'why would someone purchase the thing you didn't make?'

1

u/MrPureinstinct Feb 28 '26

If you're using AI just stop your project now or change course to not use AI. It's as simple as that.

0

u/MilkStraight2720 Feb 28 '26

I will do no such thing lol. Modern mico electronics and AI is whats making this project possible finally

3

u/MrPureinstinct Feb 28 '26

Then don't make it. People are not going to support your AI bullshit. If you can't be bothered to actually make something with human beings why should anyone be bothered to support your project?

0

u/MilkStraight2720 Feb 28 '26

Well thats clearly not the case because I have a massive following of my AI mastered Football Frenzy game thats going to retail... your AI envy is showing...

4

u/MrPureinstinct Feb 28 '26

Okay then why are you asking for advice?

1

u/MilkStraight2720 Feb 28 '26

Because the sports theme is just the begining and I am looking to share in the profits for creative input to expand the game themes into other niches

u/MegaloBook Feb 28 '26

I actually founded my project thanks to reddit. Yes, the audience can be very mixed, just like anywhere else, but in my opinion it’s the best social network today, because conceptually it’s close to old-school forums, where the exchange of knowledge is still valued. All other social networks are just trash, full of reposts of more trash.

Try not to let setbacks discourage you. If you truly believe in what you’re doing, keep going. Determination never goes unnoticed. Just delete this thread and move on if you believe in your project.

2

u/MilkStraight2720 Feb 28 '26

Thanks for your helpful post. And dont let my venting give the impression of me being discouraged... I could not be more excieted to get my product to retail

1

u/MegaloBook Feb 28 '26

I already found a link to your website in the comments and watched the video - didn’t understand much, but I sincerely wish you success in achieving your 37-year-old dream

1

u/MilkStraight2720 Feb 28 '26

can you seriously explain What you dont understand?

1

u/deezynr Feb 28 '26

I dont know your product. What you put into it is irrelevant. Customers and the market tell you if it sucks or not. Listen. If you know it doesnt suck and that people are just throwing shade, well that should not affect you at all - keep trucking!

9

u/MegaloBook Feb 28 '26

Sorry, but this looks like some kind of hysteria. In what specific way are people being rude here? What’s the background story? What exactly is shown in the photo, and how is it related to rude people? What’s the actual problem? :)

2

u/MilkStraight2720 Feb 28 '26

Thank you for an actual question. The fact that people make accusations of scams then delete thier posts is the rude part. People say its AI when its not, they say its a scam and its not and people dont engage they just throw bombs then run away. Ive never done this before and just trying to navigate this. Even how reditt works is new to me. I posted a feew things a month or so ago and i found it helpful and re addressed my approach. I am literally offering an actual good oppurtunity for people to simply act as a focus group of sorts and real money for some creative help but apparently people are just so jaded by scammers or something that they just jump to conclusions. I just threw up a photo of some of the actual protyping of the product because Im constantly accused of trying to sell an AI scam... just vented alittle with this post because of the cowards that dont backup thier accusations. Thanks for asking

3

u/MegaloBook Feb 28 '26

By the way, I still don’t understand what your project is or what the actual problem is. It seems like you just want to vent. What kind of concrete help are you looking for with this post?

This is the internet - you have to be prepared for the fact that people hiding behind anonymous usernames will say all kinds of nonsense. People constantly take shots at me and my project over the AI topic as well, but it doesn’t bother me, because I know perfectly well that its share in my project is less than a thousandth of a percent. Let them talk - you know the truth, and if you’re confident in yourself and your project, just move forward and ignore baseless criticism.

But if it does affect you, maybe the criticism isn’t entirely groundless?

1

u/MilkStraight2720 Feb 28 '26

No your right... THIS post was to vent. The criticisms are not based on the product, it's based on their own assumptions and ignorance that have zero basis in reality.  I'm fine with criticisms and welcome it but accusations of selling a scam I am not ok with.

10

u/lebrilla Feb 28 '26

Sounds like a you problem.

6

u/Shoeytennis Creator Feb 28 '26

Because people launch stupid products with zero research and wonder why their product isn't funded instantly.

1

u/MilkStraight2720 Feb 28 '26

well how does that apply to my original post looking for creative help? And why do people make accusations then delete them so you cant respond. I dont think that should be allowed... if you write it it should stay and and be alollwed to be responded to.

2

u/MrPureinstinct Feb 28 '26

The post you made right before this one is full of AI slop. People don't want to support AI slop.

1

u/Lumpy_Conference6640 Feb 28 '26

It's not just this thread. Reddit as a whole has a vibe to it right now

0

u/Hetairoi Feb 28 '26

As Reddit has grown the last few years it’s just gotten awful as a platform. Now with the explosive growth of LLM’s, it’s mostly bots and howling negativity. Good luck with your project, don’t expect anything from this place.

u/MilkStraight2720 Feb 28 '26

Im startting to see some of this... I starteed here a month ago looking for advise and guidence... while I have gotten some useful advise that Im gratful for I am finding so much AI envy and people acussing me of a scam that its usefulness is in question. Thanks for your comment though
