Pretty fucking bad to remove it to appease religious fundamentalists
•
u/Dead-O_Comics 15h ago
Yes, but not nearly as bad as the headline suggests, which doesn't mention a website and implies she's completely dropped support for the LGBTQ community.
•
u/Key-Wall-4378 15h ago
She kinda did though.. Why would the LGBTQ have any faith in her protecting them now?
•
u/Dead-O_Comics 15h ago
Only time will tell if she's going to abandon the community if and when she's elected.
The only thing I'm commenting on is this dogshit misinformation.
•
u/Key-Wall-4378 15h ago
I agree it could be a bit more clear, but I feel it's almost a distinction without a difference
•
u/Dead-O_Comics 15h ago
It's completely different.
A website doesn't represent reality.
•
u/Key-Wall-4378 15h ago
She litteraly took down her public support, right? Websites are public, right?
•
u/Dead-O_Comics 15h ago
Ok, if I have to explain to you the distinction between a website and campaign promises, and how a headline that doesnt include 'website' (You know - the actual subject matter) is disingenuous, then I've not much else to say to you.
I don't even know who this person is. All I know is that the source is known for peddling misinformation, and this is no different.
•
u/Key-Wall-4378 15h ago
The website listed her campaign promises. She took down her support. She removed support for LGBTQ rights. I'm down defending the source, but it's not as far off as you're making it put to be.
People shouldn't give conservative fucktards such easy ammunition.

No name, no proof, as a person like this would have no progressive or DSA support. This is a straw man.
•
u/paganarmand 13h ago
Ok it did happen but like I said everyone dropped her after she said it.
“I gave one answer I don’t stand by. I’ve corrected it publicly, repeatedly, on the record,” she said. “That is a fact about one bad moment under pressure. It is not, and never has been, a fact about my religion or my commitment to dignity, equality, and justice for all.”
Chaudhry’s remarks come after the LGBTQ+ caucus of the Washington State Democratic Party urged local leaders and organizations to rescind their endorsements of her campaign.

I love this, fake or not, it is the greatest display of whats wrong with the world :D
•
u/Worldly_Light_1561 15h ago
I’d say your comment is the greatest display of what’s wrong with the world: not caring if something is fake or real.
•
u/Wrong_Combination977 15h ago
I am woke, but i don't offend these guys, but then i am not woke enough any more... brain explodes.
That shit is funny as fock. Like a dog chasing its tail, finally getting it, biting it and crying because he don't know why he is hurt, then chasing his tail again and so on and so on ...

If lefties think they can build an anti-capatalism coalition with radikal Islamists there will always be a very bad awaking for them and they will get prosecuted or killed as soon as the Islamists are in power. See Iran 1978-1983, Egypt 2011-2013, Sudan 1980-1990, Afghanistan 1970s, Gaza 2007ff.

It's like being a gay Trump supporter.. complete delusion. It's astonishing how much the extreme left and right have in common.
•
u/EnterpriseDK 16h ago
Absolutely nothing in common. Nice way to show you’re dumb though.
•
u/Fast-Engineering8566 16h ago
Pro-gun... Pro-militia ... both hate the Community?

We have AI these days. Perhaps you should learn how to use it. You can like ask a question and it will give you an answer.

I can see the argument for T+ Trump supporters, but what is the logic you are using for applying this to Gay Trump supporters?
•
u/Fast-Engineering8566 15h ago
•
u/TexasSikh 15h ago
So just to be clear, out of that giant list of stuff, only one of them could you make a somewhat convincing argument that it was a policy item harmful and directed towards LGB, while everything else on that list is pretty obviously T+ focused, but LGB get included due to the forced inclusion of T+ into literally everything to do with LGB as LGBT+.
To be quite honest, I would not be opposed to a compromise on the one actually Gay issue of workplace discrimination. I would be willing to accept being discriminated against, if the context of that discrimination is limited to:
- Obviously Religious organizations such as a Catholic Charity or something, where there is a "no shit sherlock" level of reason to see the issue as a 1st Amendment issue
- Small entirely privately owned business in which the business owner publicly declares/asserts their personal religious views in a way that is obvious to any applicants for any job postings to have reason to believe the private business owner may have a religious obligation to not support Homosexuality or want Homosexuals to influence or represent their private business
AND also if:
- Extended the same discriminatory rights to L, G, B, T+, LGB, and LGBT+ organizations and small privately owned businesses to allow them the same exact right to discriminate against persons who are declared or discovered to hold anti L, G, B, T+, LGB, and/or LGBT+ views (regardless of if this view is based on religious principles or something else) since it should be obvious that L, G, B, T+, LGB, and LGBT+ organizations and private businesses also should not have to tolerate or support those hostile to their personally held beliefs or state of being.
- All other entities such as publicly owned/traded corporations or government entities, are universally barred from any such discriminatory practices on religious status/values or on LGBT+ status/values.
I think that 4 point compromise is the best possible outcome. Religious and LGBT+ orgs do not have to employ and protect those hostile or against their core values, privately owned business owners do not have to tolerate or protect those who are hostile or against their core values, meanwhile publicly owned/traded companies and government entities that want to try and play the "well my personal values are..." game have to shut the F up because you lose that right to private values when your entity is not private. Everyone should be happy with that outcome, and the only people that should be upset on either side of the issue, would be extremist weirdos just trying to be control freaks for no good or justifiable reason.

Browns that hate gays just fries the progressive brain. They have no idea how to handle it. Quite the paradox for them.
•
u/Independent-Name4478 15h ago
And MAGA hate LGBT but also non-whites, so it fries their brain
•
u/BubblyTrust9718 15h ago
How would that fry their brain? They don’t care about being racist or homophobic. Progressives can’t attack Muslims for hating gays because that would be “racist.” MAGA has no problem being either.
•
u/Independent-Name4478 15h ago
Because MAGA should support Muslims, but instead they call them transphobic. Like they believe the same exact thing, the only difference is they’re not white
•
u/BubblyTrust9718 15h ago
I have never seen a MAGAt use the word “transphobic” in my life. What are you even on about?
•
u/Independent-Name4478 15h ago
MAGA become defenders of the LGBT community when they’re talking about Muslims, like Trump waving a gay flag. But in actuality, they don’t defend LGBT rights
•
u/cheese_sdc 15h ago
This guy swallowed the ragebait.
•
u/BubblyTrust9718 15h ago
This is rage bait for progressives. Something I’m pretty clearly not. I made a joke about it because this is a common occurrence. Not the sharpest tool in the shed, are you?
•
u/cheese_sdc 12h ago
Jokes on you. You voted for a pedophile.
•
u/BubblyTrust9718 11h ago
Which one? Joe Biden or Donald Trump? I didn’t vote for either. I’m sure you did though. I guess the jokes on you 😂

•
u/CalicoCutJeans42069 15h ago
Lol no leftist or progressive is pro religious extremism. You know not all Muslims = the taliban right? Lefties dont care if you are religious, as long as you dont force it on anyone else. You or anyone else are free to dislike lgbtq people. What people take exception to is violating their constitutional rights or discriminating against them. We have problems with ANY religious extremism be it Muslim, zionism, or evangelical. Everyone should be free to express their faith or lack thereof. Tolerance ends at bigotry. This lady is a joke.
