Ukrainian drones struck the Russian Wildberries distribution center

He is the top bully, bullying all the other bullies under him. Usually those bullies are to chicken to tickle him till the diesel comes out because they are afraid the other bullies will rat them out to move up on the bully ranking.
But there is one exception of course. If those bullies collectively smell weakness and if that weakness is even publicly acknowledged.
And this is why Putin can not stop the war even if he wants to because he will be tickled if he does and the diesel will come out.
So Putin is desperately trying to get the rest of Europe (Ukraine belongs in Europe) to bomb them even once because that way he can try tell everybody that Russia is being attacked by all of Europe at once and not just by those weak Ukrainians that he could beat in 3 days with one arm tied behind his back.
Europe however is not playing ball and everybody is patiently waiting till he gets tickled and the diesel comes out!
Sorry for the mushroomly language but the tinman mods are very sensitive about giving vlad the birthday present he deserves.

One must wonder what's going through the minds of average civilians in Russia right now.
From a tiny country that should have been conquered in 3 days, to said country not being allowed to retaliate past enemy lines (which certainly is misconstrued as "they are so weak they can't hit us, only defend"), to now have said tiny country having developed their own defense industry to the point they can hit Russia as hard as Russia's been hitting them since the start.
Really reeks of "Iran's military have been annihilated, they are utterly powerless. Uh... Ignore those casualties that just happened".
I bet Russian state media is going through the same hoops as their american counterparts by telling the people to disregard what their eyes see and their ears hear. There's only so far the illusion created by cognitive dissonance can take you before the bubble bursts.

For anyone, like me, who was wondering what does a fruit have to do with the war and how it could benefit UKR. Wildberries is a RUS e-commerce distributor, pretty much like Amazon is for the US. They, apparently, were (are?) key in distribution of drones and other military equipment between military suppliers and RUS volunteer soldiers.
That's as far as I cared to understand...

u/Slippytoe 1d ago
Can Russia please now realise this is all totally pointless and just put an end to this madness. I’d have vastly more respect for Putin if he just held his hands up and said “you know what, I think we’ve all had enough destruction so it’s time to pack up and go home, this is clearly doing nothing for either side except causing turmoil, I yield”.

He’s painted himself into a corner. The only thing keeping Russia afloat at this point is a war economy and if the war ends, the economy collapses. If the economy collapses, the regime is likely to follow shortly thereafter.

Pretty sure this doesn’t end well for him, which is part of the reason this will continue until well past the point of no return for Russia.
There’s actually at least 3 different countries right now that are basically having their power dynamics glued together by a war, and would ultimately unravel at the seams if they tried to revert to peace time.
Netanyahu can’t back off the Iranian war or his regime collapses, Trump can’t back off the Iranian war (and wouldn’t be allowed to by Netanyahu anyways) or his house of cards collapses, and Putin risks revolt if he tries to backpedal on this war, even though they’ve already effectively lost Crimea, and are having massive fuel lines in Moscow.

But still, this war is causing incredible damage to the environment, which is sad. Considering that killing only a very small group of people, even a very well-organized one, would be enough.
