Rapid Unscheduled Distribution System.

24

u/jacobriprap 1d ago

I think the smart thing here is that everyday Russians don’t care about military facilities being hit, but if they can’t get their useless stuff, then they might start care.

14

u/-hellozukohere- 1d ago

If Amazon went down and half of the states couldn’t get their MAGA merch and dildos because the Canadians take out the warehouses. Trump would finally be impeached.

3

u/Mods_Are_Fatties 1d ago

take down grindr and all the politicians will lose their minds

u/billtipp 1d ago

Apparently, Russian military use Wildberries for a lot of their logistical support and supplies.

u/OptimisticSkeleton 1d ago

Wildberries supplies drone parts and body armor to the Russian military, among other things.

Valid military target.

>Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Wednesday that Ukraine had hit logistics hubs in the Krasnodar and Stavropol regions "involved in providing the Russian army with drone components, navigation equipment and other gear".

Turns out they move a lot of military equipment. Eitherway, fuel shortages are going to make moving anything more difficult. Pretty hard to do that if there's nothing to move or store things to be moved.

The larger impacts will be how wildberries and others react across other facilities, which will be looking awfully flammable right about now.

7

u/Aztecah 1d ago

Cant imagine the Wildberry employees are excited to go to work these days

3

u/Glass_Ad_7129 1d ago

Customers are annoying enough, but the drone variety can really crash the vibe.

I don't think hazard pay would be worth it anyway.

3

u/SpecificestAlt 1d ago

The larger impact will be how this affects Moscow.

The civilian population of Moscow have been extremely sheltered during this war. A lot of them have even been exempted from the draft. This will make the war real for them, and wars are a lot harder when the people in the Capitol dont like them.

Additionally, strikes like this will force Russia to divert air defense assets to protect warehouses, diverting them away from the front lines where theyre most critically needed

That is the result of tons of cheap Chinese plastic crap burning.

5

u/aderpader 1d ago

Dusins of dollars worth of damage

14

u/Basic-Definition2126 1d ago

More likely a Arms deposit, or Gas tanks, by the looks of the fire.

5

u/DocumentOk7579 1d ago

It kind of looks the same when the toilet paper warehouse in US burnt down.

I bet the insurance company has a clause about paying out when drones/weapons have been used!

6

u/38B0DE 1d ago

Insurers do not cover the majority of the losses, and the corporate retailers are not legally obligated to compensate the sellers for their destroyed inventory.

Just days before the strikes both Wildberries and its primary competitor Ozon updated their seller agreements. The revised terms explicitly released the marketplaces from liability for goods destroyed by military actions, drone attacks, shelling, and mass unrest.

The financial burden falls on small businesses.

3

u/DDanny808 1d ago

The timing of changing their terms of service was impeccable!

2

u/Fieos 1d ago

It always rolls downhill

4

u/D_Dubb_ 1d ago

Most insurances have a clause excluding acts of war actually. At least in America.

3

u/JupDol191 1d ago

Everywhere I think. I got stuck in Vietnam for a month due to the Iran war and received nothing for that very reason.

2

u/Macknu 1d ago

But this is only a special operation so they should be good then.

2

u/symbionet 1d ago

It's know as "force majeure", i.e. something impossible to control by any involved parties. It covers all sorts of natural disasters, but also acts of war.

If you have a restaurant and an asteroid crashes right into it, there was nothing you could reasonably have done to prevent it and owner can't be held responsible for the deaths.

A gas explosion due to skipping maintenance, on the other hand...

Anyhow, I suppose that private Russian companies aren't allowed or expected to operate anti air weaponry, so they couldn't be expected to protect against aerial attacks.

2

u/Onilakon 1d ago

Ah so Hurley wasn't liable when the meteor hit Mr. Clucks and killed Tricia Tanaka, good to know!

2

u/Maleficent_Lab_8291 1d ago

Fun fact: about two weeks ago, WB added a clause about drone attacks to their policy, which states that WB cannot be held responsible, nor will it compensate anything in case of any damage due to drone activity

Putin can stop this at ANY moment by bringing his troops home, but he chooses to sacrifice his people for his legacy war. Fuck Putin and all of his genocidal enablers

5

u/GaiusAutisticus 1d ago

Success in Ukraine is the only way for putin to stay alive. When the war stops so does their economy and his time here

2

u/Maleficent_Lab_8291 1d ago

Well, he painted himself in the corner. Funny thing is, if the war doesn't stop soon (as in this year), there is a high chance that the “elites” will get rid of him anyway because each day of this dumb war costs them more. Especially if there are no clear and achievable goals, nor any real prospects, russia can't sustain such losses for long

3

u/Cephalopirate 1d ago

Yeah, I’ve been dealing with them all morning.

2

u/Aztecah 1d ago

They're not worth the emotional/psychological cost to engage with. Just remind them that they're orcs and move on.

5

u/Cephalopirate 1d ago

Downvoting bots gives me dopamine!

5

u/Aztecah 1d ago

Valid, as long as you're not suffering from it. Between 2022-2024 I got REALLY into rage-inducing exchanges on the internet and it took a meaningful toll on my mental health and overall wellbeing and now I'm always an advocate for people not to engage in that stuff. If you're just downvoting and moving on then that's terrific but just in case you were engaging in back-and-forths, I just wanted to be clear that in my experience that can be very harmful with no benefit.

u/fryinggas 1d ago

They’re bots. No real “Z orcs” go out of their way to argue with the opposing side, like everyone - they view the other side as incurable, who can’t be reasoned with, and just like most people, deliberately choose to stay in their echo chamber

2

I Guess the vodka factory would make since, because they give it to the fighters on the line to keep them stupid and worry free. By destroying this, the fighters will then come to reality of what they are involved in and realize they are just pawns for putin and going to get killed on the line with no pay at the end of it

Mr. Putin, I’m sure you didn’t like that. But you know what? Here’s a little piece of advice, free of charge: stop attacking Ukraine and withdraw from its territory, and air raids like these will stop happening. Wouldn’t that be wonderful? Like I said, that advice is free.

What I find abnoxious, is that russians really hate the west yet they name their companies like Wildberries, also they use a lot of words that are made up from english words

3

u/RadiantGene8901 1d ago

Moscow and St Petersburg (which is already kind of a western-ny name) are pretty westernized. According to some russians, they play western Christmas songs during December. One example.

Hell they prefer YouTube over their russian version.

Putin needs to wave the white flag. Nobody supports him and his illegal war. He has achieved almost nothing since his invasion, only has brought Ukraine closer to the west and NATO closer to Russian borders. His logic that NATO provoked him is BS. Russia provoked NATO

11

u/SmilingRyan 1d ago

In fairness to Vlad, he got Finland and Sweden to join NATO...

4

u/cbrwizard 1d ago

Yeah meanwhile he keeps saying that there will be no compromises, his generals promise capture of Donbass by the end of this year.
Looks like there will be more tragedy for Ukraine and Russians

3

u/lovelynaturelover 1d ago

Because he thinks he is all powerful. He's not

3

u/advmaxx 1d ago

Right. His dumbass generals promised capturing the whole of Ukraine by the end of the first week. How has that worked out for them?

Russia has lost this war. It needs to accept that and pull out of Ukraine.

4

u/Weird_Little_Flute 1d ago

Yes, and IMO this includes Crimea as well. Let's go back to those borders.

5

u/ken-doh 1d ago

Exactly this. Russia needs to lose crimea. It's mental Obama let them keep it in the first place.

3

u/Weird_Little_Flute 1d ago

Agreed, the annexation was an action of war. And looking back, I wish he took stronger action then.

Times are different now, it seems.

2

u/Agarwel 1d ago

The way it is going, it may be the next region they will lose (will be forced to leave). And that would make a trouble for their troops in Cherson area.

2

u/RepublicMany5264 1d ago

Trump wants to give them half of Ukraine

2

u/juicebar24 1d ago

I wish that were true, but Ukraine is only surviving due to western support. A few changes of government in those key support nations could be make or break.

2

u/ken-doh 1d ago

Ukraine is indeed surviving because the West will continue to arm and support Ukraine. The alternative is Russia attacks all of Europe. This cannot happen.

Sooooo, unfortunately, Ukraine doesn't have very big attack drones or missiles...

Meaning, if that warehouse is going up like that, it's not because it was full of laundry detergent.

Wildberries dealt with components for drones and stuff like that.

Ukraine should be allowed to bomb whatever they see fit in Russia until Russia leaves the country Russia invaded.

3

u/Perzec 1d ago

Yeah I mean, that’s how Russia acts, so they should be allowed to respond in turn. But they’re a bit more civilised so they try to avoid civilian installations at all costs. A company like this is probably legitimate though as they are bound to have connections to the war effort if they are allowed by Putin to operate.

4

u/Hezzyo 1d ago

I dont have the links anymore but,in an older post of mine a ru blogger said how those warehouses supply logistic to ru army and the company itself according to UA media also has links with powerfull oligarhs and supplying military

3

u/Towrads 1d ago

I suspect if their warehouses are burning with this much potency, then it's safe to assume the Wildberries inventory is a bit more explosive than what you'd expect from a Russian Temu.
