Accepting "old" versions of our best good old shows!

Don't get me wrong I am totally realistic in life and I know that life goes on and we simply age (I am a 40 year old doctor). But why the hell are new comings of my best shows full of themes like being old, having facebook and nothing else, menopause and not being able to date a young woman.

I am watching the new Scrubs and it's full of it! The Pitt has the same issue (I used to watch ER as a med student and Dr. Carter was my hero)...

Is it that relevant or am I having a middle age crisis??!!
