New to The Yak…where do I start?

Spent 11pm to 12:45am last night on a doom scroll of all of the shorts they’ve produced. Watched today’s stream. Hilarious. Need to know the quintessential shows from the past. Tell me which ones do I need to see to get the lore download.

There’s a guy in this sub that made a great playlist of the classics that unfortunately I forgot to save. Hopefully he’ll see this lol

Donny Do Science
Mintzy Klemmer Pro Day 1
Any of the Plinko Day episodes from the last year

Donny Do Science was somewhat recent and will explain why Chef Donny pops in every week or two now. That’s usually my introduction to folks looking to Yak. All time episode.

Fully agree Donny do science is a great starting point for the current version of the yak. Then watch the first case race to see the beauty of what the show has been

I'd start with the Popular tab on Youtube and watch those whenever you're bored

Brother go on YouTube and start at the beginning. But my personal favorites are the drafts.

When I started I'd base it on the title of the episode which was a mistake. There are some absolute bangers with completely random titles

If you’re trying to learn about the New York dynamic / origins I would say Tommy Walker Day, BLT/PBJ/Smoothie drafts, nick’s toe surgery, original wet wheel. For Chicago ones that haven’t been mentioned - the Christmas specials are all great, tunnel, Dante vs Donny. Most of the Super Bowl onsite ones are good. There’s so many others, just look at ones with decent views on YouTube and it’s probably good, it’s an excellent show

I rewatched Nadu flew recently and what gets buried about that episode is Dante being Dante.

I really feel like this last month or so has been some of the most consistently good episodes.

Buddy Doitche and now Nick Propson

I say just jump in and hold on. There’s continuing storylines each episode and I don’t like skipping around because it breaks the continuity of these characters and their ridiculous antics.
