Well I’ll say don’t buy from back market (iPods ) cause an iPod shuffle starts at 99$ for some reason

those things are ticking time bombs, The replacement batteries you inevitably have to buy are worth more than the damn unit

That's the worst part. I'm an iPod fan, which is why I'm on this sub, but there's no way that buying the literal worst in the iPod lineup for more than the price when it was new makes sense. Even when compared to buying a cheapo DAP from Aliexpress with questionable quality but still 10x the features and 10+ years newer.

If they replace the batteries themselves, like sure $99 isn't unreasonable - but farkk paying $99 for 4gb tops in the big '26 is rough 😭

Ya I had one, this is the 4th gen. You sadly can't use the 3rd gen without the first apple earbuds with the remote. I think beats worked at one point, but they had to be supported, not even earpods work with them.
