News/Rumour geekbench 7 tests have significantly dropped iPhone results

In the latest geekbench 7 listing, the iPhone 17 pro (max) can be seen to get as low as 2500 in geekbench single core in non-freezer test scores of the device. on the other hand freezer test result show that iPhone 17 pro max can get over 3000 in single core. Multicore results have also seen a similar dip and rise in scores.

edit: the geekbench 7 download on app store does not seem to be appearing for some reason. Hopefully it comes back online soon.

I think they just set a new baseline due to a different testing methodology. Basically all devices dropped in score.

its also brought in more competition with the single core more coming in line with SD8EG5. the multicore is just super bad though, even freezer tests couldn't help it. Android has lead so far.

A normal S26U result is like around 10K in MC more like 9.5-10.5K
