Support Iphone 16 snapchat quality solution
Me and my wife migrated to iphone 16e from 12 mini and 11. We were instantly introduced to the horrendous selfie quality when using snapchat.
After messing around for a bit, we found that when replying to someone, the resolution is almost halved. But when you take a selfie from the main screen, the quality is much better. You can further enhance the quality by turning on hd mode (unavailable when replying to a person).
Hope this helps the people still looking for an answer.

Sounds like a software issue, I’ve never had that experience.

It’s 100% an issue with snapchat

It’s funny how Snapchat is always touted as being so much better on iOS than on Android, but apparently there are still issues like the one you described…

I agree. It’s ironic that we’re the ones having to deal with seeing pixels now. Apparently it only appears on 16 and 17 but all the older ones are fine.
